The Last Few Days!!
Sorry for the lack of blogging the last few day!!!!
Sunday 12-13-09 We went to the buffet, then the driver picked us up and we went to the Six Banyan Temple and shopping. We had Papa John's Pizza for dinner in our room.
Monday 12-14-09 We went back to the medical place and had Katie's TB CHECK and everything was ok. We headed back to the hotel, and then the driver took us to pedestrain street, where we bought some bootleg dvd's, that was fun. At dinner time we ran into our travel mates Jaqueline, Patrick, and Jemma, and we headed down to Lucy's.
Tuesday 12-15-09 We stayed in the room while our guide went to the American Consulate to get Katie's visa, after we could leave the room, we opted out of a garden tour do to some bad weather, so we went shopping and ate at Subway.
Wedensday 12-16-09 We had a nice breakfast at the buffet, then we did some shopping, and at 230pm we left for the American Consulate where we took the oath in regards to adopting Katie, at 530pm we met our travel group and we walked to Lucy's for dinner, then off to do some more shopping.
Thursday 12-17-09 We had a nice breakfast, then did some more shopping with our new friends Nancy, Bryan, and their daughter, we met our guide in the lobby he gave us Katie's passport with her american visa on it. After we saw the guide, our friends and us headed to an Italian place and it was real good. We packed tonight and finished our shopping
Friday 12-18-09 This will be a travel day and we will write more from Korea..LOVE TO ALL!!

Medical Appointment and Lucy's!!
Today we got up and went to the amazing buffet here in the White Swan hotel, where we met up with our travel group, had the best meal of our trip so far. Then we headed down so the girls could get their visa photos, and then on to the medical appointment, we arrived there about 1030am and didn't get our of there till 210pm. They looked Katie over and said that her heart looked good, followed by the ENT, AND THEN THE DREADED IMMUNIZATIONS. That about killed Kelly and I, having to see her get 4-immunizations and the TB TEST. We will go back on Monday to hear the results of the TB test. She cried for a little bit, and then seemed to be fine. We did a little shopping, and rented a stroller from Jennifer's Place. We went back to the hotel and then left again for Lucy's, we had great company as we hung out with Heidi, Samantha, and her sister Lynnae. As we were getting ready to leave Lucy's I started not to feel good and Katie started having the chills. We brought her back to the room and gave her some meds and she has rested since.

Friday December 11, 2009 We Traveled to Guangzhou!!
I wanted to do a quick post to let you know that Katie took her first plane ride and did really good. We are now here in Guangzhou at the White Swan. We love it here. It's much more comfortable, when we arrived they upgraded us to a deluxe room. I wish the heat was working it was freezing in our room. This morning we will head to the buffet and at 10:00am, we will go to the medical appointment. She will have several immunizations and her check up. We hope to get a little shopping in today as well. Today, I get to meet my friend Heidi who I've corresponded with for months. ( Looking forward to that) We got picked up at the airport with another family and come to think of it we found out that we are on Rumor Queen together small world.

Thursday December 10, 2009 ( Park, Boat Ride, and Misc)
Yesterday, we didn't have to meet our guide till 1:30pm, so we had brunch, and headed down to our favorite grocery store in town called Century Mart, we picked up some treats for Katie and some Sprite for me. Everyone knows how much I love Diet Pepsi, and the Diet Pepsi here tastes horrible, so I drink Sprite, Kelly is in hog heaven as he found packs of coffee at Century Mart. We then took our stuff back to the room and headed down to the lobby to meet Jamie we drove to a very beautiful park and walked through all the beautiful gardens and saw a pond with thousands of fish and all the toursits were feeding them popcorn. We than got on a boat and took it around the lake for about 30-minutes, then we went to the Notary's office and picked up some paperwork for Guanzhou. We got back to the hotel and ordered room service. Katie loves to eat anything. She can teach Allie about trying new foods. Katie came to us with an upper respitory thing, we've given her some medicine and it seems to be getting better. As you can see I'm one day behind on my posting. I will do another journal update later today as we are headed to the White Swan..Today is December 11, 2009. I had the pleasure of waking up to someone throwing up in their room, either the walls are very thin or they were very loud. I hope this post finds everyone doing good. We really apreciate all the comments, emails, etc...We are really missing our Allie, family, and friends. BUT IT'S HALF-TIMERS...YEAH!!!!!

Wedensday 12-09-09
Yesterday was a fun day started off with the buffet again, then we went to the Buddist Temple, which is one of the largest in China and very beautiful. We got back in the van and the driver took us to the Tea Garden, which was amazing. We got to see how the Tea is grown we sampled some and of course Kelly purchased some. Jamie our guide took us to a beautiful Pagoda and as we were getting ready to tour it, we saw the fire dept coming down, and then they closed it because someone commited suicide. We went back to our room and ordered some room service, then we called it a day. We are getting excited about meeting some of our friends in Guangzhou, we also cant wait to shop....

Passport and Orphange Day!! ( Tuesday In China)
We started off with an amazing breakfast, then we met our guide in the lobby. We made a journey of about 4-hours to get Katie's passport and then a visit to the Orphange. They were so welcoming, they made tea for us, presented us with a few gifts, we got to tour inside the Orphange where we met the staff and some of the kids. How lucky we were to have this experience and yes, I took plenty of photos. Most of the kids we saw had different special needs, we know that KATIE WAS TRULY LOVED THERE. It makes you wish you could take them all back to the US. We got back to the hotel and I ran to the photo shop where we left the camera that the orphange gave us back. The pics were priceless, they had some of her friends in them. Today we are going to the Tea House, Buddist Temple. I will post lots of pics later today.

Katie Day!!!
It was an awesome day. We got the Civil Office Building, and we were the third family to get their child. The previous two were crying like mad, they were 3.5yrs. Katie came in with her caretaker and was very quiet, she had her backpack on, and lots of clothes on. She right way bonded with Baba, it was at the hotel she started to like Mama. It was so surreal, it took us back to meeting Allie for the first time. We were lucky enough to meet with both directors and they were both very nice. We will be going to Yiwu ( EEWUH) tomm. We get to get a tour at her orphanage, I was very suprised by that. But very happy to go. We will also get her passport tomm. She is very protective of her stuff. She's waking up as I type. It's 530 am here in Hangzhou!!
Hello Everyone,
We got up 430am we just have to get ready and we are headed down to the buffet. My stomach is very nervous right now. Kelly is doing great and very excited as his boss put in for a huge promtion for him last week and last night we found out that he recieved it. Maybe this is a good sign of whats to come today. ( Or maybe a little wishful thinking...) We are counting the days as we head to Guangzhou. There has only been one other couple here and their adopting a little girl that's one year older than Katie. We hope to see them again today. It will be nice to get to the White Swan on Friday. We feel a little lost here, as there a very few americans here. Again please keep Katherine in your prayers as this will be a very hard adjustment for her.

We've made it to Hangzhou!!!
We are very excited to be here in China again. This province is very beautiful they specialize in agriculture in Hangzhou, we saw many acres of Bonsai plants and trees. Very different from Changsha. Our hotel the Lakeview is on the lake. Last night we ventured out a bit and found a huge Walmart like store we liked. We got two bags of food and treats for a total of 10.00non and Sharaleen and Shannon I even found some cute stickers. It's morning time here and we get to go the the buffet. Sounds yummy. We have really just snacked the last few days. I will type more tonight, We do not have access to Blogger or Facebook here.
