Hello!

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to run with and support a very inspiring young woman who is making  her way by running across America. Her mantra is one that I try to live by each day.Take a moment to read a little about Katie and enjoy the photos I was able to capture. What a cool day!

Katie Visco writes:

I am doing this to inspire people to pursue their passion in life! I have a mantra, Pave Your Lane, which represents the idea of finding your passion, and pursuing it - you do not need a scripted track or "lane" paved out for you to do this. YOU are the one who will pave your OWN lane, and you can do so with your passion as your guide. Don't be afraid! Your passions are an expression of who you are, and we are meant to follow these callings. This is what I want to inspire and empower people to do - pave their own lanes in life. I am using my run across America as a bold example of how I am paving my lane in life - taking one of my deep passions (running) and applying it by doing something, in this case, out of the box. There is so much power when you can realize who you are and what it is that gives you life, because, at least for me, that is when I can best give back to the world. I believe that by harnessing your passion, you will be a happier person, and the world needs radiant souls who can shine some light on others. I truly believe that there are endless possibilities for those in search of living a whole, radiant life, particularly through unleashing their passion. Find yours! Follow it! Pave Your Lane inspires the pursuit of dreams, and empowers mind and heart-fueled passion and action. By running across America, I will exemplify this mantra to the world, shining the light on the importance of following your heart, passions, and dreams.
Katie's Run Encompasses Three Main Elements:
RUN * SPEAK * GIVE

RUN | SPEAK | GIVE

Katie Visco will be the youngest female ever to run the 3,200 miles across America. People are welcome to join Katie in stride along the way.

Katie will be stopping to speak at local schools and events, and with running clubs, community groups, and individuals about the importance of living a passion-driven life and acting on dreams. Also, in an effort to catalyze human interconnectedness and community in America, she will be meeting, breaking bread, and staying with many hosts en route. Katie will be promoting and supporting Girls on the Run, an international nonprofit that empowers young girls through running. She will fundraise for the organization and meet up with local GOTR chapters to run and speak with the girls.
the journey of 3,200 miles begins with a single step
