Introducing, the Storm Trooper twins. They're in need of new names... it's a long story.

They shouldn't have be stuck with Twin #1 & Twin #2 monikers.

Sometimes they bicker, but for the most part, they get along.

Welcome

Shug:

I think it pisses God off when you walk by the color purple in a field and don't notice it. More than anything, God love admiration.

Celie:

You saying God is vain?

Shug:

No, not vain, just wanting to share a good thing. I think it pisses God off when you walk by the colour purple in a field and don't notice it.

Shug Avery's statement to Miss Celie - "The Color Purple"

Karen this is Joseph, You did a wonderful job on all the shots you took. I am impressed. I don't think my friend the photographer has anything on you. You are very very good. I hadn't seen Marva and Leonidus in a long time. Do you know where Leon is now. Is he still in California? I'll talk to about him when I see you. Peace out

Karen, it's been a long time! Didn't forget you just trying to re-adjust. Lady you are only getting better and better all I can say is I am in awe! Designs by Adele I love the simplicity yet that what makes the artistic statement more profound! It's funny a friend of mine (DC design concept) asked me take some photos of her jewelry for her website I looked at your work and called her up and said "girl we can't use those this is what it was supposed to look like" lol but you know I am for real! This is how I role think I'll have Emmond a calendar made from that one the auto show ends tomorrow and girl you know this is Mo-Town so my lil man loves cars. Funny he got a book on classic cars for christmas so he'll like this. Last but not least the man in the photos is a fine speciman all by himself (Lord help me) but the way you played with the lighting to create those shadows and black and white OH YES so creative! Like I said you are only getting better and better.

Still in Awe of you!

Subject: Something To Think About.................

When the white folk wanted to make the USA a great
country, what did they do?

They went to Africa and enslaved Blacks to turn the
country into an agricultural powerhouse.

When the white folk wanted to make Washington D.C. a
great city, what did they do?

They used a Black to design the city and Black labor
to build it.

When the white folk wanted to explore the western
USA, what did they do?

Lewis and Clark took a Black slave with them to
negotiate with the Indians.

White folk wanted to end the Civil War.
What did they do?
They freed the slaves who helped win the war.

White folk wanted to take San Juan Hill.
What did they do?
Teddy rushed up the hill, got in trouble, and was
rescued by Blacks who took the hill.

White folk wanted to take the middle and western USA
from the Indians.
What did they do?
They sent the Buffalo soldiers to protect the
settlers and to fight the Indians.

White folk wanted to raise cattle in the mid west.
What did they do?
They hired cowboys to do it (Yes, most cowboys were
Black.)

White folk wanted to explore the North Pole.
What did they do?
Adm. Perry took a Black guide along to get him there.
The guide reached the pole before Perry.

White folk wanted to make the USA armed forces
better.
What did they do?
Truman integrated the military.

White folk wanted to improve college and pro sports
and make more money doing so.
What did they do?
They integrated sports and built larger stadiums and
arenas and tougher golf courses.

White folk want a new president to straighten out the
Bush mess.

WHAT WILL THEY DO, BASED ON HISTORY????

WHITE FOLKS AIN'T STUPID...

TO PRAY, IT IS THE GREATEST POWER ON EARTH~~~~~PAT Angel

Karen, I just checked my e-mail and saw it was your birthday yesterday. Hope you had a great one. Here is a belated birthday poem I wrote for you:

The world became a better place the day you were born,
ebony eyes that see all the colors of a world torn
by strife, hate, fear, and yet----beautiful in its content
when viewed through your ebony eyes!

Thanks for your vision and friendship, Love Theresa

Out of bounds WOW! The portraits (part 1) are phenominal and I love the Harbor drive & the Japanese frienship garden shots! I am going to pack you, your smile, hugs AND camera in my suit case and smuggle all of this beauty back to the mid-west with me! Be sure to keep this site going so I can continue to be moved by your gracious gift!

You've totally outdone yourself and captured my heart and soul with this latest batch of photos! Not the fine man (though honey you captured ALL of his good sides...lol) but the sunset photos! You know I am a sucker for sunsets! This made my day they're so serene I feel like I am there! Well as I move from this little Southern Californian paradise with sunsets unrivaled by the rest of the world...I will take these with me to remember. Now I'm all weepy eyed! My mascara is not Holy Ghost, or beautiful sunset proof!

Amazing...I am truly in tears these are so beautiful!

Works from internationally acclaimed photographer Tony Gleatons exhibit, Cowboys: Reconstructing the American Myth, are on display at the Casa de Oro Library, 9805 Campo Rd, #180, through the end of March. The exhibit of black and white images depicts modern-day cowboys in the Southwest. One of Gleatons earliest collections, it includes portraits of African American, Mexican, Native American and European American cowboys. This body of work challenges a widely held vision of the United States pioneering roots with portraits that are as carefully crafted as they are culturally revealing, states Jeffrey Hoone, Director of Light Works. Hoone describes Gleatons collection as one that identifies graceful and spirited connections in the uncommon space of the life of ethnically diverse cowboys in the American West.

Just in case you missed it ---
REMEMBER: Cell Phone Numbers Go Public next month.
REMINDER....  all cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls.

.... YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS

To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone:    888-382-1222.

It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number.

HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS... It takes about 20 seconds.

Balboa Park is incredible. I'm thinking that what we are really seeing in your work is that you seem to see things through a different lens, this enables you to capture all the detail. I think you were like that even as a kid. You saw things we just didnt see.

1/11/2009 6:24:20 AM - 002036749700

Karen,

These really ought to be calendars, post cards, greeting cards, framed and sold!  You've out done yourself with these new botanicals the color is sharp!  Rosanne thanks for the comment!

Happy New Year!

12/27/2008 8:37:24 PM - 002036749700

Karen,

Oddly I quoted this verse from the Color Purple during a bible study of all places last Tuesday!  I think you have a remarkable way of stopping and paying omage to every color in God's field!  We are often in awe of how brilliant man is with his technology and such however in the hustle and bustle of every day it takes someone with your vision to remind  us of how much in awe we ought to be over what the creator has already done!  These are all awesome I am so amazed by the detail in the flowers, the character in the black whites (Mr. Part 1) and San Diego at night well you know the sky lines and sunsets are my weakness!  You've got a gift that's for sure!

12/26/2008 3:08:38 PM - 002035490911

I 've seen those prodigies around somewhere!

_ I'm ordering pics to appropriate an autograph!

12/26/2008 2:43:57 PM - 002035490911

Karen, I Knew you would exploit your work somewhere daring .... And you did it on the road! _ I know someone with an airplane!

12/22/2008 1:43:13 PM - 002041840261

Karen,

I love the water shot! Thank you very much! The zoo, the flowers and the Gardens are all spectacular!

I am truly humbled to view such masterful work! You have truly perfected your craft. I loved every shot - and yes I agree with the other writers the shots look better than national geographic! I love you and I am very proud of you.

Peace and grace,

Rev. Roseanne

Karen, your photograph on the elephant's feet and legs are genius.

One only have to judge the distances and size of the feet and legs of the Herbivorous, in order to get a full picture.

Karen, you earned your bragging rights with with only feet and legs!

Kaygee,

I thought I was flipping through the pages of the National Geograhic magazine. You should submit your photographs for publication.  Outstanding work!  PS -- Remind me not to have a "bad hair day" when you take my picture!
