The past two months have absolutely flown by! I have had a wonderful time travelling around Australia and spending time with all of my visitors. My family came to visit from June 20-30th. While they were here, we went up to Airlie Beach and the Whitsunday Islands. We snorkelled at Mantaray Bay in the Inner Great Barrier Reef, sailed through the Islands and visited Whitehaven Beach (one of the world's whitest sand beaches) and 3 of the Islands: Long Island, South Molle Island and Daydream Island. Liz Loy (my best friend) came after my family and spent almost 2 months with me. We travelled to Surfer's Paradise, Byron Bay, Jervis Bay, Canberra, Melbourne and Cairns. On August 13th, some other friends from PSU (Brooke Beasley, Cassie Spangler, Jill Moore and Emily Susnik) joined us. We were all here together for about a week and half and had a blast hanging out in Wollongong, visiting Symbio Wildlife Park, the Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley.
I was sad to see everyone come and go, but I am so glad that they got to see parts of beautiful Oz with me! It won't be long until I'll be back with everyone in the States again! Until then, I guess it's time to get busy with school work. It's hard to believe that my time here is over half way over!
Hi Kayla,
You are certainly are seeing lots of great sights during your Oz year. Barbara and I much enjoyed having you stay and showing you around Southern Highlands area in September.
