Hello from my little 'Korner' of the world. I love Shutterfly and everything it has to offer.
I am a mom, wife and full-time employee so my time for traditional scrapbooking is very limited. Shutterfly provides me with an opportunity to capture my family memories and moments that take my breath away.
Life whizzes by so quickly and I want to capture all I can. I create books using Shutterfly to replace the old-fashioned albums, and I use Shutterfly to create books as gifts.
I can not believe how quickly January flew past! Wow much to do at work and much to do at home. My big confession, all the decorations from Christmas are still in boxes waiting to go back into storage till next year...this will probably not be accomplished by Valentine's Day but new goal is Feb 28!
I got the coolest poster from Shutterfly in the mail! I had placed 4 photos of my son and his grandparents on it, and will be excited for them to get it. I also recently ordered more notepads for some folks. This year instead of cards, I am sending very cool Shutterfly gifts - Grandma gets a notepad, grandpa a coffee mug, nephew some of the very cool stickers with his picture and personalized. I am so excited to see how these wonderful gifts turn out.
I placed an order today and all gifts are scheduled to arrive by next week. Super easy and super cool!

Wow it is cold here in Ohio! Not as bad as other areas, but at -11F with the wind making it feel like -16F, it feels arctic! We had about 5 inches on Wednesday night, and my son and dog loved running in it and rolling in it. We arrived home and they got a few minutes of play in before the night air was just too cold. I may have to keep my beach photos up just to get a reminder of the warm days to come.
Stay warm, and I can't wait to see all the September babies that come from this cold spell!
Hello and Happy New Year to everone!
We are going to First Night downtown tonight and I will be posting some Christmas photos soon...they are still on the sticks : ) As many of you know I spent the day in bed on Christmas Day, luckily I made it through opening presents, but then was ill the rest of the day...I will spare you all of the details, as it was not pretty. Needless to say, Dale and Pasha went to the movies and for Christmas dinner had Shells and Cheese and Pigs in Blankets. Bless their hearts!
Pasha's remote control motorcycle (the only thing he wanted from Santa) did not work, his helicoptor toy did not work, and the Monster Truck arena did not work. He is such a trooper, and was able to exchange for some more Leapster games the following day, and a HUGE tank and car carrier (quite literally as long as him). I would have been completely crushed as a child, but he was sooooo cool with it!
I have one more day off until I have to go back to work. I have soooo enjoyed the time off at the end of 2008, and can't wait to see what 2009 brings.
May you all have a SAFE and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunization.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom.
Leaving Tampa on Friday afternoon, it was in the 70's and beautiful...just a 2 hour plane ride north and WOW! What a shock. I can't believe the snow, cold and general winter! Pasha has was pretending the sand was snow for a minute on the beach in Clearwater...but today he was making snow angles in the real snow. I added some photographs from our trip.
I am very honored to have my Halloween book selected to appear on the Shutterfly Gallery Home Page. It turned out very nice and of course looks so much better in person. I am going to update the 'My Books' section to include a few more of the books I have completed. I am working on a year in review and hope to have it done soon. I am not including Christmas, or maybe I am, just depends on how many pages I have left.
Enjoy the holiday season. Pasha, Dad and I are visiting the fire station today to drop off some toys for their toy drive, this has become an annual tradition for my family, and this year it was just part of the routine...last year is a different story...it was more difficult. At 5, I think Pasha is getting the gist of it : )
Have a great weekend!

So tonight is my last night in Tampa this week, flying back home tomorrow. I am SOOOOO looking forward to seeing my handsome husband and sensational son! Can't wait...I got a few minutes to pop in Shutterfly tonight. I see that Lisa has a new book out, can't wait to see it, and I caught something about free shipping...which I LOVE! Hope everyone's week is going well.
Take care!
We went to a Halloween Party on Saturday and today to the Park Halloween event! All these great photos...I see a book coming out of this. Not to mention a tummy ache ~ whew candy, candy and more candy!
Autumn is so much fun and there is so much to do! Carving pumpkins, raking leaves, parties, raking leaves, trick-or-treat, raking leaves, did I mention raking leaves?
My weekend comes to a close and so does my Staycation! It's back to my realy job tomorrow and I have gotta say I enjoyed the Domestic Goddess life!
Friday, playdate for lunch! Grocery shopping a 2 hour trip, and I find myself thinking where did this week go???
Looking forward to the weekend with everyone home (or out and about together!). Have a great weekend everyone!
I have been on staycation all week with my son. Wee Hoo! The downside ~ we are both sick, but we went to see the movie Beverly Hills Chiuaua (spelling, and I'm on vacation so no spell checks today).
The movie was really cool. We both enjoyed it and no bad words, and the bad guys not too bad! I am off to paint now, and some pumpking carving later!
So my mom & dad came to visit and they got a room at the Marriott, and Pasha has spent the day with them...what did I do??? Cruise Shutterfly. I was getting ideas for Holiday Books and just loved all of the fantastic Halloween books and Autumn books and started even looking at Christmas. What a wonderful way to spend the day (okay in between, I did laundry, dishes and yardwork).
We all me up for dinner Lobster Bisque and a dinner salad with pine nuts and since this was my husband's birthday celebration, I helped him with his Creme Brulee.
This is why my parents rock ~ they come to visit, stay in a hotel with a pool, and take my son on a mini vacation~ What they also realize is that this is a vacation for us too...well to that point...I am off to enjoy my husband and some alone time.
Have a great weekend everyone! Please let me know when you have a book posted -
Well September has been a month from Hell - luckily we are all still here! It has been busy, due to work - I am in the Default Mortgage business, and I train - and I work for a large bank - so we have been hiring, uptraining, and I have been overwhelmed with what is going on in my work life.
Jump to my personal life. My Dad had some tests, some further heart tests (scary) and then was given the Okay to go on a 16 day European cruise (yeah!).
I have a friend who was riding her scooter home from work and hit by an SUV that went left of center, after several days in a coma, she awoke to a broken pelvis and her left leg had to be amputated.
Pasha's PreK did not work out - and luckily we have a back up program at work and he is going to work with me and Dale every day for the next 6 weeks. Sometimes I love working for a corporation - it truly is the benefits that are amazing.
We have been apple picking (as you will see in my new book - STOLEN - straight from Ann Abbott. Okay, not stolen, but used with her permission. This is such a wonderful template that I had to use it, just awesome...that is why I love Shutterfly, I really was able to complete this is such a short time because Ann had done the creative work. My words, have been floating in my head for years, but the template was the true inspiration...let's all pop in and Comment on an ANN ABBOTT book today. Three to One is the book I copied, and it is spectacular.
We went to Cops and Kids Day (as you will see in an additional new book).
Right now I am hitting the Gallery and catching up on all I have missed. This really is such a fun place to cruise on a Saturday night. Oh yeah, and did I say our living room TV went out - for good this time- We don't have cable, and the only one left is in our bedroom, so since Pasha is asleep in there ... oh well we really don't watch it anyway.
Whew - I am soooo longwinded sometimes. September came - is gone - and Dale's birthday is Monday - not a present in sight - Pasha and I MUST go shopping tomorrow - but only after we visit the Firestation for Fire Prevention Week fun!
Happy Autumn everyone - I will be back with boo at the zoo - Halloween - and Fall Harvest Fun Soon!
Shutterfly offers free shipping on books till September 3, 2008...I'm in heaven.
I just earned 50 free prints for my Grandparent's Book purchase. I love Shutterfly, they really reward loyalty.
Kim Komando's radio show this morning mentioned Shutterfly. During a discussion on photo scrapbooking and storage, Kim mentioned that Shutterfly is the best site out there, and they even have Guru's that can help when using the site. You can visit Kim on-line at www.komando.com.![]()
We are in Ashland, KY on the way to drop off my son in Eastern KY at his grandparents - I am so hooked I just had to pop in while my son is swimming at the hotel pool. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Reminder this is the last weekend to post pictures and earn prints in the Hit the Road Sweepstakes - contest ends August 12!
It is right after midnight, I can't sleep and I am up working on some of my books. I am really so addicted to creating these books LOL. I have got one I am working on for the entire year, one for my parents for Grandparents Day, A year in review for 2006, a year in review for 2007, and I just thought of creating a book for my son with quotes, and dreams I want him to know. I need an extra day every week to Shutterfly!
Tomorrow will be a Manic Monday!
I am always looking for a truly unique gift that folks will appreciate. The new Shutterfly notebook is so fantastic. 200 lines sheets, with a personalized photo cover - at $12.99 per book this is an amazing gift for others or yourself. What a way to say thank you to a teacher or keep track of your daily to do's in such a fun and unique way.
This is just another innovative and awesome offering from Shutterfly!
Enjoy your week!
I am trying (and failing) to add my Shutterfly books to a new tab. I added the Shutterfly link to the Hit the Road sweepstakes in my favorite links section. With each picture added Shutterfly will credit your account with 15 FREE prints, up to 75 per week during the contest. With those benefits, I feel like I am already a winner! Click on the link and post your own pictures and earn some free prints in the process...hurry as the contest ends August 12.
Have a great Sunday!
I am by no means an expert, and expect to experience many first times in this page. I hope to learn and grow. Any feedback is appreciated.
Kelli

I love your new pictures. Too fun.
Hope all is well.
Lisa :)
Hey Kelli,
Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I hope all is well with you. busy busy. Take care!
Hey Kelli,
Thank you again for your sweet words on my two books. My friend's wedding book came out so great. The pictures were so bad. Not centered, cropped or anything. When I saw them I knew I could make them look great in a book for her. On my husband's gift, it took on a life of its own after pulling out my favorites. I just love my kid’s quotes too...
Hi Kelli, I wanted to say thank you for your very kind comment on my Christmas photobook. Thank you for being so generous over this year, it has been very fun for me to meet such nice people thru the shutterfly community.
Snaps Away,
Lisa :)
PS: Indeed Pasha is a true champion of hearts for coming thru his Christmas pitfalls without a scratch.
Happy New Year Kelli!!! Many blessings to you and yours!!
Lisa :)

Thanks for the comments throughout the year.
Merry Christmas,
Lisa :)
Hi Kelli,
Thanks, as always for commenting on my books and site. I've been a bit slow lately with the holidays quickly approaching. These new pictures of Pasha are ADORABLE - he is adorable and so photogentic. I love the 'Before I was a Mom' poem - did you write that? I got teary eyed and I'm just an aunt! Hope to visit again soon. If not, Happy Holidays and see you next year! Joey
Hi Kelli!!
Love the new header, wonderful pictures, too fun :) It looks like it was a wonderful trip.
I hope the holidays are good to you and yours, stay warm and have loads of fun with your young Pasha :)
Better get going for now,
Lisa :)
PS: Congrats on your Halloween photobook, it's a very fun book.
Hey there Kelli!
I've been reading your updates... but w/o time to comment. Your poem to your mom is touching.... how proud she must be! Although it souds like you are equally as proud to call her mom! Sorry to hear that you were sick... that's the pits! The week before we left for our annual Thanksgiving trip 3 of my girls had developed Penumonia! I have to say it is much eaiser to care for someone than to go through it yourself! It sounds as if your Thanksgiving was fun! Here's to Christmas preparations! Yipes!
Blessings to you,
Danielle
Love your site...stopped by to say thanks for commenting on my photo books...just finished another one today for my mother in law for Christmas. If you have time stop by my site and sign my guestbook. Have a Wonderful night!

Ah ha - so that is where you've been...October Staycationing. I can't believe that you've been eating brownies, doing fun fall activities and spending time with Pasha while I've been at work....working, working, working! OK - I'm just jealous - what a great tradition - I need to try this October annual Staycation thing. So what next a month long staycation at Christmas time?!? Love the new headers of Pasha (as always!) Always so great to hear from you - enjoy your Autumn fun and games!
Thank you for stopping by my site. You helped me reread and fix all of the typos I had in my Apple Hill entry. See why I shouldn’t try to type with a 23 month old on my back...hhehehehe.. Also thanks for the comment on my new book. I loved those pictures but they are not of the normal close ups of the kids and I didn’t know what to do with them. I took your cue of writing something special to them and dedicating the book to them. And there you have it... Thanks again.....Ann.
Hi, I just wanted to thank you for all you comments on my books! And your most recent comment on my new seniors book, I wanted to say that I have my mom's senior picture and it sounds like how you described yours.. she graduated in '82 I believe but I just thought that was funny! I hope to get a lot more seniors now that I made that book, it's been less than a year since I've come out of my shell and a lot of people still don't know I'm around and still drive an hour and a half to get their pictures done! Thanks again for your nice comments!! Briana
P.S. Love the share site!
I love your header photos and your great fun picking apples. I love the fall!! So much fun things to do and share. Just wanted to stop by and say hello.

Another awsome header photo! Between you and Joey, I am going to have to change mine too!...Ann
Hey Kelli,
Love your header! I need to change mine. Mine has been very blah. i get most of my quotes from the Quote Garden, love that site. Congrats on getting 50 free prints for your Grandparents book. Isn't that so exciting. i missed that deal by a couple of days when i ordered my brother-n-laws book. You and your mom look a lot alike, i can't wait to hear their reaction when they get the hardcover copy. Aren't these the best gifts AND site! Thank you for always commenting on my books too. They make me feel good.

Hi Kelli! Thanks so much for popping on my site and I don't mind at all if you would like to add my link to your site - I'd be honored! You probably noticed I already added your link to my site (I should have asked first, but I was prettty sure you wouldn't mind!) Also, I read your comment on my book about my friend's adoption of a little girl in China and was delighted to discover that you adopted yourself (from Russia!) That is so awesome!!! He is absoloutely beautiful, by the way - another very lucky little boy and what a blessing for you and your husband! The Gallery is so incredible - you can meet so many special people so easily - I love it! Keep inspiring us all! (I could never tell that you are supposedly "a rookie!")
What are you trying to do to me??? I just love your header photos...YUMMY. Summertime and hot dogs! My fav..may it be "Pinks Hot Dogs" in LA or a good ol' "Nathan's " at Coney Island NYC...they are all ok with ME! Chilli Cheese the best!
Ann :)
Thanks Julie - You can create your own site, it's Free and Easy - I am with you in the rookie status - I have only been working with the site for the last few months - and of course completely hooked! Thanks so much for popping in my site.
Hi Kelli! I love what you've done with your site! I decided to check it out after you left me the last note on one of my latest books. I can so relate to the "addiction" part of Shutterfly - I just seem to be staying up later and later every night - I need to get some sleep! Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for your kind comments and let you know I posted a couple of new books yesterday. I've still not managed to view all of your books yet, but I'm working on it and they are all so wonderful! I'm still a rookie, so it's so nice to have you Guru's for inspiration!
Take care,
Julie
Just dropping in to say hi and thanks for the nice comments on my site and my friends book. I know, isn't that purple bow pathetic! What was I thinking? Kind of funny looking back at all the old photos and memories. Did you turn 40 or did you say March '09? Thanks for your ever kind comments on my bday book too. It was hard to post as i'm on literally EVERY page. UGH! But, thank you. Keep up the greatwork, you are such a great asset to the team. I love your work.
Joey
Hi Kelli - just dropped by to check out your site - Wow how awesome. Truly inspiring - love your pictures and your enthusiasm - its so amazing that one site can bring so many different people together. I'm thrilled to be part of it all.
I also need to figure out how to add all my photobook projects to my share site. Any advice posted here, I'll gladly glean!!!!
Kelli,
I love your site. You've done a fantastic job so far. I enjoy your enthusiasm for photography and Shutterfly. You comment on Sunday about the Hit The Road contest is great.
Thanks for your comment on my site. I love this new feature offered by Shutterfly. You're welcomed to add a link to my site from yours. I'm working on doing that myself. May I include yours? Thanks again.
Linda
Looks like you figured out how to post a book. You do the same thing to add a website, just change the Title to Kelli's site or Joey's site etc. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask.
have a great day, Joey
love your filmstrip pictures!
Hi Kelli,
I read your post that you are having a hard time figuring out how to add site links and photobooks to your page...Trust me, i didn't know either. Tiffany told me how to do it. I'll try to explain, and if you have questions ask me or Tiffany.
i have to get back to you so i don't give you incorrec info..
Hi Kelli! Found your site! Very cool! I added a link to your site on my "shutterfly" page on my site ;o) And thank you for all your sweet, sweet compliments on all my stuff!
PS... that b/w picture at the top just ROCKS! Love the sign and the essense of that one!
Hi Kelli,
I had no idea you had a site too. I'm glad I looked at your page and saw your web address. This is so awesome. I love the black background. You've done REALLY well with this. I never thought to add Shutterfly as a favorite link..duh!! I just love everything about it. Mine is pretty basic compard to others. Just trying to help spread the word about Shutterfly. Can't wait to see more of your books and I'll check back on your site. All these sites are going to be hard to keep track of but it'll be FUN. And congrats on becoming a Gallery Guru in Agust. That is AWESOME. So excited to have you a part of the team. It's truly amazing. You have great ideas and inspirations.
Way to go on your site. Can I post your site and a couple of your books on my site? How about if I add them and if you don't want them on my site, just let me know and i'll detete.

Joey ![]()
This is a great idea! You're always finding these awesome little creative things to do, I love it!
Amanda :)
Some folks have been asking me for a Buckeye Recipe...for those of you out there here it is!
When balls are firm, melt semi-sweet chocolate chips. Spear balls with toothpick and dip into chocolate. Only cover 2/3 of ball so it looks like a real buckeye nut. Refrigerate for 1/2 hour or until chocolate is firm.
