This stained glass window is huge (like 4 stories tall) it tells the entire story of Jesus' life.

window/ceiling
loved how the window and ceiling flowed into each other.

Last Supper
I think that's what this window is depicting.

altar flowers
They still have church services here (they were having a catholic mass when we came in) these flowers decorate the altar.

tombs and graves covered the walls and the floors in this huge building

Tombs
These tombstones and memorials lined the walls and covered the floors.

Really cool wire sculpture by the same artist who made a bunny and minotaur outside the abbey.

Sal took this photo of me inside the abbey.

Fanned Ceiling
The ceiling was way up there. I have no idea HOW they built it all those 100s of years ago. Just awesome!

Tombs & Windows.
Just loved how everything flowed together so well here.

Roman Baths

Roman Bath*
The water that fills this "bath" predates the Romans who discovered it. It comes up through the earth and is heated and still comes out of a spring elsewhere on the grounds. It's full of minerals (hence the green color) & said to have healing properties.
