Homeschool Clothes Swap
Passing this along from a homeschool loop I recieve.
5th Annual Homeschool Clothing Swap
Circle C Park (6487 Slaughter Lane West Austin, TX 78749)
Friday, October 22nd
1pm-3pm
If the weather is unsuitable to our outdoor location, we will meet at :
Bethany Lutheran Church
3701 W. Slaughter Ln
Austin, TX 78749
This is an open gathering for homeschooling families.
We would love to have you join us!
Start gathering your items and prepare to bring them to the swap. The following items are welcomed: clothing for the whole family, games, toys, baby items, books, etc.
All unclaimed items are donated to charity.
In the past we have donated items to an orphanage in Mexico and locally to the Settlement Home for girls. This past year we were able to bless missionaries from several countries to take supplies back with them to bless other families around the world.
If your children are in need of some clothing, or if you are in need of more space in your overflowing closets and drawers, this is a great
opportunity.
Here's what to expect:
Gather up all of your family's outgrown-BUT-still-useful clothing, coats, jackets, toys, books/curriculum, etc., and bring it all to Circle
C Park on Oct. 22nd at 1pm.
We will have each mom divide her clothing by category, for ex., boys, girls, infants, women's, men's, shoes, etc, and place them on the blankets provided. Each mom is then free to collect any items that will be of use to her family. We ask that there is a continued spirit of giving and sharing as we have experienced in the past. This not the place for greed, hoarding, snatching or any other unfriendly conduct.
If your goal is to come and take the best items to resell, we kindly ask you to rethink your motives. When you come to this event and see the homeschool community coming together with open hearts and open hands, giving to meet the needs of one another, it should move you to want to do the same, not take advantage.
There are NO limits, there is NO cost.
We freely give and we freely receive at this event!!!
Once all the moms are done "shopping" @ around 3pm, we gather the leftovers to donate them to charity. Last year most
moms left with arm loads and we still had piles to donate. So bring plenty of bags to take home your goodies.
You are welcome to attend the swap even if you don't have items to contribute to the swap. This is an opportunity to bless others as well as be blessed, so come.
Hope to see you on Friday October 22nd! Be sure to bring a friend!! In the past we have had anywhere from 40-60 or more families participate and it's growing every year.
Please forward this message and spread the word. Thanks everyone.

wife to my wonderful husband Tom
and mother to 6 beautiful children, Christal 23, Cynthia 9, Rhouhanna 7, Thomas 5, James 3 and baby Phillip 11 months

Texas Renaissance Fesitval
School Days at Texas Renaissance Festival is an event that is open exclusively to school groups grades K-12. The 53-acre New Market Village, an authentic recreation of a 16th century English township, comes alive with interactive characters, live demonstrations, performers and stage shows appropriate to school age children. It will be held on November 2nd and 3rd. Tickets may be ordered in advance for $6 per person (over 4yrs), but the order must be MAILED and received no later that October 1. Children are invited to go in costume - anything from Robin Hood, princesses, villagers, fairys, musketeers to King Henry (I've even seen vikings). For more info go to
www.texrenfest.com. I will be going on Tuesday the 2nd, but there may be some interested in going on Wednesday.
The Art and History of Dye Making
On Tuesday September 28, I will be doing a class on the Art and History of Dye Making. We will be exploring ancient and modern natural dyes, the process of dye making and the significance of dye in the Bible. We will be able to sample some natural dyes. To finish, we will be tie-dying our own t-shirts. Everyone who wants to participate should bring their own prewashed white shirt. I will bring everything else. I will have trash bags to use as smocks, but it would be wise to wear something that is ok to "play" in. Call me if you have any questions - Amber.

Getting Started
Hello everyone.
I believe you should have received a notice from Shutterfly of our new website. It's going to be a work in progress and we will need all the help and Ideas you have to make it the best it can be.
We want this site to serve us all for quick reference and general location to share information. Please feel free to add messages about upcoming events, sharing cool stuff or even asking questions. We will begin adding pictures of our meetings and events and encourage everyone to upload any pics they take during the year. The plan is to take all of the pictures and make a year book to share with all.
First thing that will be very important is for us to make sure we RSVP to events we plan on attending. This will give the assigned teacher the opportunity to be prepared making the best possible experience for the kids.
Word of mouth is getting out and I am so excited to see what God has in store for this group. If you are a member the site will send you a monthly reminder. If you know anyone who would like to be added or removed please have them email me or post a comment requesting such on the guest book and we will get right on it.
I pray you all have a blessed week.

Welcome
Kingdom Culture Coop is a group of Christ minded homeschooling families desiring relationship as we walk through educating our children. Our focus is on creating a Christ world view and cultural environment for our children that they will know our living God and walk confidently in his promises on this earth.
We meet the second and forth Tuesday's of each month at Hill Country Church in San Marcos Texas.
We will begin each meeting with a time of praise and worship and a short bible lesson. After the bible lesson we will enjoy a special project or teaching. Each family is asked to prepare and coordinate an hour long teaching for the group periodically throughout the year.
We end each day with lunch. Bring your sack lunch and meet a new friend or get to know a old friend better.
