About Us

We are a family of four who enjoy a challenge.  Soon after we were married, we began remodeling houses, some while living in them, and we're excited to be building a house of our own.  Creating our own problems, not fixing them, as Patrick likes to say!  We took the Log Home Builders class in February 2008, and are excited to finally be putting the learned skills to use.

Patrick was honorably separated from the Marine Corps in January 2010 after spending 9 years flying helicopters and is now a part-time log home builder/park emergency dispatcher.  Bianca is a full-time employee at Yellowstone National Park and is jealous that she can't be out helping to work on the cabin more.  Except peeling logs...

Bianca will be doing most of the updates, so please pardon her ignorance when it comes to the real know-how of building a butt and pass log cabin.  Those days that she actually does make it out to the cabin will be well documented.  Other days, when Patrick has camera duty, will probably be a little less so...  Patrick is the real brains behind the entire operation and is constantly scouring the Log Home Builders Association website for new information and studying the work of others.  We have a three your old son who keeps us busy, a newborn baby girl, and both will occasionally be on-site to supervise the progress this summer.  Stay tuned as we attempt to build our first Skip-style cabin, while working, raising two kids, and trying to still find time to enjoy all that this area has to offer!
