Toshihiko Koga - Judo 古賀稔彦

Friends, lots of our judokas told me that they are going out the town this labor day weekend so we are going to cancel the judo Monday class. Have a good weekend (:

last Sunday our 5 judokas competed on one of the hardest tournament of the year for them.

The State champioships in San Francisc. We got 3 gold medals

 

Ebony who fought in the division up to 53 kilos. She won all her 5 matches by Ippon defeating theTsutsui sisters who are some of the most experienced girls in the division. She defeated Rachael Butler who went down from more that 53 to under 53 kilos division.

Also undefeated and winnig by Ippon all of his matches Edward Flores, who won the 38 kilos division beating 2 times experienced competitor Nathan Navida from San Diego, in a division of 16 of the best judokas of the nation Edward showed great technique, excellent posture and judo skills.

Micaiah competed too and won his division also winning 3 matches by Ippon, showing also that he is the bets in California in the 25Kilos Batman division.

Erick started by loosing against competitor from Kodokan judo by Ippon, he fought again and won by pinning his opponent with a keza gatame, but lost the semifinal match and was eliminated.

Efren fought 2 times and lost against competitors 5lbs heavier than him. He fought at the 44kg division.

Next Wed. February 3rd we are having our Junior Belt Promotions. All judokas are expected to be there @3:30 pm if they are takinfg the test if they are not 3:45 is a good time to come to class.
