Strep
Hello Everyone,
As many of you have already been informed Strep is going around the school. We have been hit hard in 7-2 by this case especially since the winter break. I encourage you all to refer to Mrs. Whitman's email sent out this morning about the symptoms and what you can do if you expect that your son has it. Please take the precautionary steps as many of our students have been in class for several days with the virus untreated.
Thank you for your continuing efforts and feel free to get in contact if there are any questions.
House composition
Hello Everyone,
I hope you all had a great winter break! We are writing a composition this week about our homes. Please help your son fill in the sheet in his take home folder tonight to help him write his composition for the week. There is a copy of the questions in the document section of the site.
Thanks!
Katie
Christmas party
Hello all!
Thursday is our annual Holiday party for 7-2. We will have a voluntary holiday card exchange during the party. They boys are more than welcome to make cards for each of their classmates. Please remember that if you are going to partake in the exchange that each child receives a card and no one is excluded.
Thanks so much !
uniform
Since wintry weather is approaching – supposedly - students are no longer permitted to wear shorts to school. (Shorts may be donned after Spring Break, which is only sixty-three school days away.) Boys are expected to wear long, khaki pants. Girls continue to wear their jumpers with athletic shorts underneath. On colder days girls have the option of wearing one of the following: a) Navy blue leggings/tights under their jumpers; or b) Navy blue pants instead of their jumpers. All students are also expected to wear appropriate weather-related gear, including coats, jackets, sweaters, and gloves. Students will continue to have outdoor recess unless the weather is inclement. In addition all students’ sneakers should be mostly white or mostly light grey with white or grey laces.
Assembly Dress
During assemblies and class plays the boys are required to wear long pants as part of the uniform. Please be advised and refer to the parent handbook for further uniform requirements.
Halloween 1/2 Day
Friday, October 28th is a half day of school. Our halloween party will be at 11:00 in the classroom. Come one, come all!
Happy Treat or Treating!
Lice
Hello everyone,
We have been tackling a widespread case of lice in the school, and even in the classroom, over the last week or so. Please review Margie Whitman's note she addressed to all parents regarding checking your child's hair for lice or nits. I have attached a copy of the letter in the "file" section of the site if you need to refer to it.
Thank you!
Folders and Report Cards
On October 12th we had our first folder papers read by Mr. Clapp. They were sent home to be signed. The report cards will need to be returned to school at one's earliest convenience! I know the boys are eager to recieve their "first" report cards in 7th Age!
If you have any questions about the grades feel free to contact me. I also recommend you review the parent handbook about the grading policies and procedures. In the handbook you will find very helpful information about what each grade looks like in the classroom.
We are always learning about, creating, and discovering WONDERFUL things in 7th Age!
