I must be mean...I smile EVERY single time I look at the picture of our scooch crying! Maybe it is because it reminds me of Tracy when she was frustrated:-) She was ALWAYS getting in over her head too.

I just can't get over how adorable my little newphew is!!!!! I really thought you guys were moving and I was sooo excited....I need you guys to move back here so I can cuddle this little guy more often!!! Love you guys!

yup - we are up to 8 teeth!

Chase can stand on his own, on occasion, for about 15 seconds. Walking is just around the corner!!

Weight: 20 lbs, 5 oz (50%)

Height: 29" (75%)

The doc said that everything looks great!

 

All of them. Sigh.

Chase's first wave was pretty funny. I was waving to him, saying, "Hi Chase!" and he was lifting both arms up and down. When he tried doing just one arm, he was staring at it intently, trying to figure out if he was actually doing what he thought he was doing.

We have 4 teeth! All the better for biting, my dear :)

The top left tooth finally cut through (the bottom two have been around for 3 months!). The top right is close behind, as is the one next to that. Now he can REALLY bite!

Keith just went upstairs to check on Chase, who woke up crying an hour after we put him down. Chase was standing up in his crib, holding on to the top bar. Good thing we dropped that mattress!

Here we will update Chase's milestones and the like! This way, I won't have to yell at Keith anymore about not telling his mom that Chase has teeth. :)

The first crawl

It happened a few weeks ago, and now he is a regular little crawling machine, but I wanted to post this regardless. Enjoy!

If you look closely, you can see Chase congratulating Raul after a big hit.

Little Chase is at it again.  This time his adventures find him picking apples in an orchard.  This little guys doesn't miss a beat.

Tracy noticed that all of her friends took their kids to pick pumpkins this weekend.  Since we were bad parents and had him watch football and go to a party instead, Tracy thought it was only fair to virtually take him.

Chase has started to mimic Keith by squinting and smiling - its really funny!

We had Chicken Paella for dinner last night and Chase loved it....even the artichokes! He loves strong flavors (sharp cheese is his favorite), so I shouldn't be surprised!

Entering little man in another contest (because maybe the people at Gap are a little better at this whole modeling thing than the people at Parents Magazine ;)). Anyway, it is an actual contest with actual judges, but there is also a Voters choice category where we can win a trip to the Caribbean!

Chase was so cute this morning and thinking about it is making me miss him big time! It doesnt help that today is my 5:00 day at work, so I'm only going to have a couple of hours with him tonight :(. Anyway - he fell asleep with Keith on the couch this morning and when he woke up he was in such a happy mood! He kept smiling this huge smile, and was "chatting" with me while I was getting ready for work.

Well, it was my first full week back to work, and I have never been so grateful for Friday in my life! After a few nights of 4 am wake ups (4 am for the day...not just a night waking), we seem to be adjusting pretty well. Here's to a good weekend, full of quality time, smiles, and good naps :).

This week hasn't been too bad....Im exhausted when I get home, and continually question how anyone is able to get everything done! I am thankful that I am on a flexible schedule though, and get done work early. It gives me that extra time with Chase that I know a lot of people don't get with their kids. So anyway, work has been fine, and I'm staying busy as much as possible! I do have new pictures of the little guy up in my office, so I'm thinking about him a lot, but have been able to avoid dwelling!

So....I am walking to my office this morning and Keith calls to tell me that I forgot to transfer the carseat to the other car. So, the carseat is at UConn, and the baby is at home. Keith just spent the last half hour or so figuring out how to install the convertable carseat so that I didnt have to drive home and back with the infant seat. Sigh. This is not a good sign.

Tomorrow (Tues) is Chase's first day of daycare...I know that he will be fine...but I'd love some prayers for me!

We took a day trip to Boston yesterday and had a great time! Chase got to ride the train, we walked around Boston Common, Faniuel Hall, and the Harbor. Keith got some good video of the a bagpipe player - he made our day :). Pics coming soon!

Yesterday was Chase's last day at UConn. We are grateful that he got to spend so much time with Keith, but we are both ready for daycare to start and to have some routine brought back to our lives!

Chase has been offering us bites of his food...its really cute!

So as I sit here with a sore throat and stuffy nose, I can't help but be grateful for three things...

1. Keith. He, for the millionth time, got up early (super early this morning) and took Chase while I got to sleep in. While I'm always grateful for this, today I was even moreso since I feel like junk.

2. Chase. Man, he is a really good baby. It's hard enough being sick and taking care of a baby, but a crabby baby? I can't even imagine.

3. Power Bob. This sofa is the best purchase we have ever made.

We had a great time this weekend! Keith's parents came to visit, and we got to take advantage of our new patio area (well, at least until the mosquitos attacked!), play Family Feud, and spend some quality time together! Thanks for visiting!

We had a really nice time at our daycare visit, and it just confirmed for us that we made the right choice. God is good!

Tonight we are going to meet the other families at our new daycare. I think its nice that the provider (who will be referred to as Chris from here on out) tries to introduce everyone. Just one more small thing that makes it an easier transition! Chase starts officially on September 8th, and I am back to work FT!

CRA's current eating preferences:

Meat = no.

Veggies = sometimes.

Fruit = most of the time.

Bread/Cereal/Rice Cakes = CONSTANTLY!

Chase and I went to my old dentist, my new dentist, mommies group, and a friends lake house today! I am getting pictures from the lake, so as soon as I have them I will be sure to post them. It was us and 4 other mommy/baby combos. He had such a great time!

Chase just got so excited when I handed him his sippy cup of water....not juice, not milk, just water. That's a good thing!

Yeah, Veggie Beef Pilaf did not go over well. We had banana/apple/pear and some wheat bread instead. And then, following in Daddy's footsteps, Chase started feeding Buddy his leftovers. Sigh. What am I going to do with the two of them?

We are getting ready to have some lunch...on the menu this afternoon? Veggie Beef Pilaf.

I've officially succombed to the world of commercialized baby food. This was a multi-reasoned decision, and one that I haven't quite come to terms with, but here we are anyway!
