Rental Details

50% deposit required to reserve the chalet(refundable with ample notice); final deposit due 2 weeks prior to rental week. Upon receipt, we will mail the keys and a self addressed envelope to facilitate their return. Security Deposit will be returned per terms below upon receipt of keys.

$300 Security Deposit Required - promptly refunded if chalet and grounds are left as neat or neater than found and not damaged.

Rental does not include bed linens or towels. See floor plan for layout/bedsizes, etc. Twin beds can be moved together (=king size).

Rental week generally begins Saturday 1:00pm and ends Saturday 9:00am

Rental weekend generally begins 3:00pm Friday and ends 3:00pm Sunday

Rental Rates 2012 - Winter $200/day 2 day minimum, $695/week; Summer $1300/week; Off Season $295/weekend, $395/week, fall $450/wk

Waterfront chalet with a wonderful view of Shawnee Peak Ski Area and 13 mi long Moose Pond featuring twin lakefront decks, 3 bedrooms (sleeps 6), kitchen/living/dining room with breakfast bar, bathroom with shower, telephone, cable color tv with VCR/DVD, wireless high speed internet. woodstove with fireplace screen, outdoor grille, microwave, 6 way game table, lakeside picnic table, outdoor dock, swimfloat, canoe, sunfish sailboat, 14' aluminum rowboat (2.5hp motor available at $75/week), life preservers, small sandy beach with access to a larger private sandy beach, southerly exposure, year round easy access and more in a unique New England setting.

 

The Area

Moose Pond

- 3 ponds connected by narrows, 1300 acres, approx 13 miles long, 1 mile wide, 80 feet deep max. One of the cleanest lakes in western Maine. TSI = 34 -crystal clear water to >20 feet depth. Pleasant Mtn/Shawnee Peak - 2007 ft above sea level. Western Maine’s largest ski area and New England’s largest night skiing area. Top to bottom snow making. Bridgton (7 min east) hospital, stores, antiques, laundramat, movies, restaurants, 18 hole golf course. North Conway (25min west) restaurants, factory outlets, movies, supermarkets, nightspots.

The Activities

Seasonally: Moose Pond Area - hiking, hunting, swimming, fishing (lg mouth bass state record from Moose Pond), canoeing, sailing, rowing, waterskiing, camping (state islands), antiquing, tennis, golf, biking, chairlift rides. Naples/Long Lake Area (15 min east) - lake cruises, seaplane rides, fishing, boat rentals, nightspots. Fryeburg Area (12 min west) -white water canoeing on the Saco, bowling, movies, airplane rides. North Conway Area (25 min west) - shopping, train rides, miniature golf, Storyland, Heritage NH, waterslide, nightspots. Portland Area (55 min east) Maine Coast. Winter: Moose Pond Area - skating, snowmobiling, ice fishing, cross country skiing, day/night skiing at Shawnee Peak. Seven ski areas within 1 hr - Cranmore(30min), King Pine(35min), Attitash(40min), Black (40 min), Sunday River(40min), Mt Abrams(45min), Wildcat(60min), Loon(75min).
