Never before in Florida's history has there been such a huge amount of empty homes and condos; there is a huge inventory of homes owned by banks and mortgage companies on the market -- and realtors are flooded by owners desperately wanting to sell their home and condos.
June Sloan allowed Michael and Tony to run the October meeting and she voted to give them a better three-year contract. The only thing Ameritech will not raise is the $2,400 a month. Other items will be raised $$$. Thank you June. Tony says to the owners, "You're nobody, you are not a board member." and Michael says that June can vote as president, and she does not have to follow Roberts Rules, and Ameritech can sign all the village checks even though this goes against our By Laws. The treasurer doesn't have to do her job either as stated in our By Laws. Ameritech now has a handy man to do his job along with the board's jobs for $20 an hour. The $7,000 ramp now at the office "was a good price" per Mark the new handy man. Tony wants a key lock for the storage compound. Tony is suggesting to the board that the village needs a privacy fence around the pool with card entry for a more "resort" feel. Tony suggested the surveillance cameras in the pool area and the clubhouse.
Ed only wants Brighthouse for $24.95 a month for every owner to be placed on your monthly bill like an assessment, but Ed says not like an assessment. He will ask that this be put to a vote at the annual meeting. The board can then have their own station that goes to every homeowner for Board discretionary programming.
June and Ameritech continue to use Demonte for $150 an hour for phone calls, emails, letters, and decisions for handling the owners and explaining the governing documents. Ameritech continue to send out more and more situation letters on weeds in flower beds saying that maybe people can hire a service to keep the flower beds in order over the summer. The board discussed getting a power washer for $700-$1,000.
