Coaches' Pizza Parties
In appreciation for all our coaches have done this season we are having pizza parties in their honor. The u-8,u-6, and u-4 coaches are invited to come to the home of Marc and Michelle Workman just outside of Fort Gay @ 6:30 on Tuesday Nov. 8th to eat and offer suggestions on how we can improve for the Spring season. Call for directions 304 648-7273. Likewise, the u-10 and u-12 coaches are invited on Thursday Nov.10th @6:30. If you can't make the night your age is meeting but want to attend on the other evening please feel free! See you there COACHES and your families.
LCYS NIGHT AT LADY SOCCER DAWGS HOME GAME!!!
The Lady Soccer Dawgs have invited all youth soccer players and their families to their home game against Greenup County on Thursday, Sept. 8th @ 6pm. All players will be admitted for free if THEY ARE WEARING THEIR JERSEYS!!! Sorry but parents and non-player will have to pay an entry fee $4 for adults and $3 for students. But the money all goes to supporting the teams @ LCHS! Come out and support our Lady Soccer Dawgs and see the future of LCYS in action!

Thanks to Lady Dawgs for a Great Clinic
A great big thanks to the LCHS Lady Soccer Dawgs for a fun and educational soccer clinic on Saturday, August 27th! They put on a clinic for 3-7yo at the Meadowbrook fields. Everyone had a great time. It was a FUN day! Thanks to our Lady Soccer Dawg coaches Hannah Slone, Amber Cyrus, Shelby Hay, Mollie Workman, and Skylar Chapman. And a big thanks to Asst. Head Coach Paul Chapman for overseeing the whole operation along with our very own U-8/U-10 Coach Savannah! Come back and visit anytime Girls!!!!
U4, U6, and U8 Clinics
On Saturday, August 27, the Lawrence County High School girls soccer team will be hosting a clinic for the U4s, U6s, and U8s at the Meadowbrook field. Wear your shin guards and don't forget your ball and water! See you there!

Seeing Success In the Future
The Lawrence County High School Lady Dawgs soccer team has opened the season in a big way! The Varsity team won their 1st regular season game 9-0 against Bath County. The Junior Varsity team won the Damon Long Memorial Tournament in Morehead with wins against Mason County and Rowan County. The future of soccer is looking bright in Lawrence County!

U14 LCK Lightning Win Gold!
The U14 Select Team LCK Lightning won the gold medal at the 2011 Bluegrass State Games in July! They won 2 games in the first round 4-0 & 6-3. In the semi-finals, they won 8-1 and finished the gold medal game 3-0. We are so proud of our oldest group!
Fall Registration 2011
The deadline for Fall registration is Aug. 6, 2011. We will be in the lobby of Louisa Middle School from 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. Returning players who do not need a new uniform will pay the $35 fee. New players or players who need a new uniform will pay the $45 fee. Please pass this along to friends and neighbors.
Fall Season 2011
We will be doing early registration next week, July 18-22, at the Meadowbrook field from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The fee is $45 for new players or players who need a new uniform, and $35 for returning players who do not need a new uniform.
Also, there will be an organizational meeting July 21st at Dr. Workman's office in Louisa at 7:00 p.m. Anyone interested in discussing/volunteering/coaching in the fall league should attend.
Lastly, there will be a referee class July 30th. This is an 8 hour class. Time and location will be announced later. Please plan accordingly. We will need referees this fall, since it is the girls high school soccer season.

U12 Coaches for Fall 2011 Organization Meeting
On Tuesday, June 7 at 7:30pm we will be having an organizational meeting for the Fall 2011 U12 coaches at Louisa Medical Clinic. We really need coaching presence to make some vital decisions regarding the future of LCYS at this level. Coaches Whelan, Shapaka, Fairchild, Webb, Maynard, and Robinette will all be at this level in the Fall and we value all your opinions. If you are unable to attend, please send a representative or let Michelle Workman(304-648-7273) know. Also, anyone else interested in coaching U12 soccer is welcome to attend.
Challenger British Soccer Camps
U10 Girls Win Springtacular
A U10 girls team from our league went to the Springtacular Soccer Tournament in Independence, Kentucky this weekend. Team Chapman (LC Thunder) members Darby Chapman, McKenna Hamilton, Letty McCoy, Ally Moore, Isabella Caldwell, Emily McCreary, and Carly Kirk plus guest players Kylie Maynard and Lydia Workman went 2-0-1 in the tournament. The team tied for first place with the Blessed Sacrament Eagles from Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. The team scored 15 goals in 3 games and allowed only 4 goals. Congratulations Girls!
Middle School Girls game at Home Tueday
Lawrence County girls middle school team has a home game Tuesday, April 19 against Boyd County. The game starts at 5:30 and will be played behind Louisa Middle School (or possibly at our Meadowbrook fields). The admission is $3 for adults and $1 for students.

Soccer sign-ups will be at the Louisa Middle School on Saturday, February 19 from 10am-2pm.
If you are a coach, please try to contact your team and let them know. Also, if you coached in the Fall and don't plan to coach again this Spring, please let us know ASAP.

Indoor Soccer at the YMCA in Ashland
The Ashland YMCA is having registration for their winter indoor soccer league for ages 3 - 14. The cost is $50 if you are not a member and registration must be turned in by Dec. 23rd. You can call the YMCA for details.
