The Leadership Cheatham County Board of Trustees will meet Sept. 6.

The Board of Trustees of Leadership Cheatham County (LCC) voted at its regular meeting on Aug. 2 to become an independent entity and started the process of forming a nonprofit corporation. Thank you to all the support and positive feedback! We are looking foward to continue our partnerships with the county government, the city governments, the Cheatham County Chamber of Commerce, and the many other entities and organizations in our community.

The UT Extension office is offering two mini workshops for Cheatham County home owners who would like to learn a few garden and landscape tricks from master experts.

The workshops will be held on Oct. 11, 2011 at the Kingston Springs Elementary School and on Oct. 17, 2011 at the Ashland City Library.

They will start at 6.30 p.m. on both days. Registration is $15.
