Enjoy a summer of friends, music, and fun!!
WHAT: Centreville Band CampWHERE: Liberty Middle School
WHEN: July 30 - August 16, 2012
OPEN TO: RISING 5th - 8th graders! COST: $150 (includes all instruction and T-shirt)
Summer Band and Orchestra Camp
The Franklin Middle School Band Boosters will sponsor a Summer Band and Orchestra Camp. There are the details:

- Location: Franklin Middle School
- Dates: June 25 - July 20
- Camp Hours:
- Orchestra: 8:30am-12:30pm
- Band: 9:00am-1:00pm
- Cost: $175 per student
ALL STUDENTS WILL RECEIVE A FREE CAMP TEE SHIRT!!!
Students will study the following areas:
- All brass, woodwinds, percussion, and string instruments
- Music theory
- First day auditions are provided online
- No auditions for Beginners
The camp is offered to the following band and orchestra students:
- Grades 3-10 (exceptions are made at the discretion of the director)
- 4 bands from Beginning to Advanced levels
- 4 orchestras from Beginning to Advanced levels

2012-2013 Executive Committee members announced!
The following individuals were voted into the Executive Committee positions at the last PTA meeting (held on 5/9/2012):

Rising 9th Grade Athletes: Physicals for 2012-2013 school year - CVHS
Physical Nights for the 2012-13 school year are here! And there are two of them:
First Physical Night:
Second Physical Night:- Monday June 4, 2012
- Centreville High School
- 5:30pm-7:30pm
- Register at the following: www.fcps.edu/sports and click the Sports Physicals (PPE) link.
Cost for physicals is $50.
Please be advised that after June 30th, all athletes must have an updated physical (dated May 1, 2012 or later) in order to participate in all conditioning, camps or green days. They will NOT be able to participate until they have one!!!!
All of the money will be donated to the Centreville Sports Medicine Dept. to help us buy athletic training supplies for the next school year. This is a great fundraiser for us because it allows us to raise money since our budget for supplies has been cut. Thank you so much for supporting our program!
8th Grade Dance volunteers needed
URGENT: The Dance Committee is in dire need of the following chair positions to be filled:
- Chaperone chair/coordinator
- Game Room chair

The 8th Grade Dance and Celebration Night will be held Friday, June 1st. Committees are forming to make this a fun-filled event to celebrate the completion of middle school. If you would like to help, please consider joining us for the next dance committee meeting, sign up to volunteer at the event (click here), or contact the committee chairs at LMS20128thGradeDance@gmail.com.
