The Pumpkin Patch
Today our little family went to the pumpkin patch. It was so great, and free :) There were tons of pumpkins, and Lila loved fromping around in them. I will be posting photo's soon!
11 Months
Lila is now 11 months old! Where has this last year gone? She is growing up so fast and very soon she will be 1. Its unreal.
Lila's New Face
Lila makes this face at least 20 times a day now. We don't know what it means, but we LOVE it and hope it never goes away! :)
Walking!
Lila officially started walking today! She woke up, started walking, continued, and hasn't crawled since! It is wobbly and cute. I do have to say that I already miss her crawl a bit :( But, we are very excited for her because she is very happy to be walking!
Steps
Lila took 5 steps on her own today! Then she fell down and giggled :) I have a feeling change is coming...
Daddy's Football Game
Today we went to daddy's first home football game! We are so proud of him now that he is the head freshman football coach. Lila cheered the loudest :)
Ten Months
Well Hello!
I haven't updated this site in so long! But, it's only because I have been so busy updating Lila's more in depth blog over at

First Tooth
It's official! Lila has her first tooth :) She has been working on it for weeks and now it is finally here. It's not much...but it's there on the bottom, a little white tooth peaking through.
Green Bean's
So green bean's were next on the list of new taste's for Lila...and she did not seem to like them! She made several funny faces :) She seems to have liked them more the second time though, so thats good news!
Magno's
Today's new taste was mango...she seemed to like it :)
Sweet Potato Pie
So next on the list of Lila's first taste's was sweet potato pie! Yum. Okay so really its just sweet potato, but it sounds better when you call it sweet potato pie :) She loved it. Just as we expected!

Six Month Check-up
Lila had her six month check-up today. Everything is going well...she now weighs 19.8 lbs! This time at the doctor Lila seemed a little more unsure, she kept reaching for me. She had to get more shots, which I hate more than she does. This time after she got them and I was holding her, I am pretty sure I saw her flash a dirty face at the nurse. :)
Banana's for Monkeypants
So this morning Lila got to eat breakfast for the first time! I really thought she was going to love them, I figured they would be here favorite "first taste yet". But, they have actually caused her to make some of the funniest faces. It's not that she doesn't like the taste, cause I think she does, but I do think she is a little leery about the texture. :)
More Potatoes Please...
Tonight Little Miss Lila Mae got to eat potatoes for the first time...I think she like them :)
Mother's Day
Oh my...what a perfect first mother's day! So it wasn't actually the first mothers day I have celebrated...cause I have two amazing mom's that I have celebrated on this special day. But, it was my first mother's day as a mom. And what a perfect one it was. Jeremy and Lila planned so many special surprises for me. Flower's and breakfast in the morning, a card from Lila and daddy, a day trip to Oceanside by train!! (on the Surfliner that I have always wanted to take) Lunch on the beach. Dinner at my favorite California burrito spot and to top it all off frozen yogurt and a blockbuster! Thank you both for my perfect day!
Peas and Thank You!
Tonight Lila tried Peas for the first time. She seemed to really like them. I have a feeling she is gonna like all the new foods she tries :)
Lila's First Wave
So we have been working on waving with Lila lately. And sure enough the other day randomly Lila had her first wave :) We were over at our friend Peter's and Erin's for dinner and Peter was waving at Lila, and just like that...she waved back. It was priceless!
Carrots...Yum!!
Last night Lila ate baby food for her first time...CARROTS! I made it for her, and making baby food is not as hard as you would think it was...actually, it's quite easy! She loved it! We are gonna have son much fun watching her try different foods!
Six Months...Really?
Well, that's right folks...today our little Lila Mae turned 6 months! A half of a year has gone by already, and it just feels like yesterday she joined us. It has been so amazing so far, and we know that the fun is just starting :)
First "Camping" Experience
So last Friday Lila had her first "camping" experience. We didn't stay over night in a tent or anything...I'm not sure if she is ready for the. But, we did head down to San Clemente for the evening at the San Mateo campgrounds, for a bonfire with some friends. Lila seemed to love it. She was mezmorized by the camp fire and seems to love anything to do with the outdoors!
Jumps
Today Lila started jumping in her ExerSaucer. It is awesome! She gets so excited and jumps so hard. I love it :) I could not stop laughing, I will for sure have some video of this very soon :)
Riding in the Cart
Today Lila and Mommy went to the market, but this time she got to ride in the cart like a big girl. It was her first cart ride, and it was a success!
Hanging out in the Park
Lila is so in love with swinging lately. She can't get enough! And she giggles so much. The two of us had a fun time at the park today, swinging, and laying out on a blanket in the grass. Reading, playing with toys and looking up at the trees blowing in the breeze. A wonderful time except we missed daddy :(
First Time in the Pool!
Today Mommy and Daddy took Lila in the pool for the first time! And she loved it so much :) She seems to really love the water!!!
Spring Break in Carlsbad
Lila spent her spring break in Carlsbad with her mommy, daddy, grandma Beth and Grandad. What a wonderful time we had. It was so great to get some quality time with her grandparents. They spoiled her so much, and her mommy and daddy too :) We spent alot of time in by the pool. Lila was so cute sitting under an umbrella on a beach chair. She loves being by the pool! Thank you Grandma Beth and Grandad for the wonderful week!!!
Easter
This was such a wonderful first Easter for Lila. She got to spend it with Mommy, Daddy, Grandmas Beth and Grandad. It is wonderful to have had them be here with us for this special holiday. Grandma Beth and Grandad got Lila a hopping bunny and an easter basket full of goodies :) Lila loves the bunny so much and still plays and laughs at it everyday! We all went to our easter service together. Our church is called Rockharbor, but our service was held at the fairgrounds. It was a beautiful service with around 75 people being baptised! Lila had fun dancing to the worship music and wearing her easter dress :)
Five Months Already?
Our little Lila Mae is already five months old!!! How is that possible? Seriously, it is going way to fast already. Random people keep telling me to enjoy it becuase it goes so fast and I am really starting to believe it :(
Back on a Plane
Today Lila and mommy flew back home to California. We were lucky because Grandma Beth and Grandad came with us! They are gonna be in California for the week!!!
Playdate with Selah
Today Lila and I went over to Auntie D's house to have a play date with Selah and Owen. It was fun to see them interact a little. I think they are gonna have so much fun together. Selah and Lila seem to really love eachother already :)
A visit with Grandma Beth
Today Lila and I visited Grandmas Beth at her school. It was fun for Lila to see her and her office and some of her work friends. I think it was fun for grandma to show Lila around too :)
Slumber Party With Elsie!
Tonight we went to visit Jill and Elsie in Fort Wayne. We had a great time going out to dinner and hanging out at Jill's new pad. Lila was happy to see Jill, Marty and Sarah, but even more excited to see baby Elsie...okay baby BELLY Elsie. But it still counts. I can tell that they really bonded :) Lila can't wait till she actually gets here in the end of July, then the fun can really start. I wonder if they will cause as much havic as there mommies did? oh boy...
Lila Started Sitting!!!
Lila started sitting today! It is so much fun already! She seems to be excited too, her toys will be so much easier to play with now.
Lila and Elijah
Today Lila and I hung out with Vikki and her son Elijah, who is also Lila's boyfriend :) He is a little older, but hey seemed to really hit it off :) We shall see what the future holds?!?
Time with Mimi and Pepaw
Lila gets to be spend a few days with mommy in Indiana with her Mimi and Pepaw. We had such a great time! Mimi even took a few days off work :)
Aunt Alyssa's Wedding
Lila enjoyed visiting Galena, IL for her Auntie Alyssa's wedding. Such a beautiful bride, wedding and town! Lila especially enjoyed hanging out with the wedding DJ, her dad :)
Chicago with Auntie Erica and Uncle Justin
Lila spent a few days with her mommy and daddy in the windy city! We stayed two nights at her Auntie Erica and Uncle Justin's place. We had so much fun walking around, eating out and enjoying the city. Lila espcially loved there puppy dogs, Lexi and Izzy. These were the first puppies she has ever been around, and it was love :) I am thinking we are gonna need to get a dog in a few years :)
Another Plane Ride
Lila has already been on a plane three times. She flew to Indiana again for her Aunt Alyssa's Wedding. This time was a little harder than the first two because she was more awake and alert, but she did really well and seemed to have fun :)
St. Patricks Day
Lila loved her first st. patty's day!! She is part Irish after all :) Don't believe me...she has the pale skin, blue irish eyes and strawberry blond hair to prove it. She celebrated the holiday in her green polka dot Notre Dame Irish outfit on (that by the way is for a 12 month old baby :)
Four Month Check-Up
Lila is now 16 lbs and 6 oz. putting her in the 93 % for weight and She is 2'175" long putting her in the 92% for height. :)

Huntington Beach Farmers Market
Today we took Lila to the HB Farmers Market. She loved it! We have decided to make it our new tuesday evenining tradition. Lila loves being anywhere there are people. She is a combination of social and shy. She loves looking at people but gets shy when they talk to her :)
Rocking Chair
So we have been wanting a rocking chair and the other day on one of our daily family walks we decided to walk to a duck park that we had never been to. And what do you know...there on the side of the road is a rocking chair, just waiting for us to take it home for free :) Thank you Lord for answering even our small prayers :)

Rolling Over
Lila rolled over four times today!! I could not believe it! She was playing in her play yard and was rolling from side to side and then all the sudden she was on her stomach. I thought maybe it was a fluke but then she did it again three more times throughout the day. I am amazed at how excited I got at this seemingly simple task. But, wow, it was amazing. I looked it up online and it said babies usually start rolling over at 5 or 6 months, so it seems that she is early. We shall see if she continues rolling over. :)
Three Months Old
Lila turned three months old today! I can't believe how fast it is going and how much we are in love with her :)
First Time in the Nursery
Well I did it...I left Lila in the church nursery today at my mom group. And I have to say, it was alot harder for me then her. She seemed to love it. She was smiling and looking at the other babies. It was cute cause there were some four month babies in there that were smaller than Lila :) She is so beautiful to me...
Teething?!?
So last week I had a dentist apt. and Lila came with me. While we were there the ladies were talking about how she was teething! About a week before that she had started getting really slobbery and had alot of bubbles coming out of her mouth. But, I didn't think she would start teething yet! The ladies at the densist said she was showing the signs. And this weeks things seem to have progressed. I looked it up and she has alot of the symtoms, and last night she seemed to be in pain and putting her hand to her mouth alot :( Poor little thing. Any suggestions on what makes her feel better when she is teething?
Nurture
Today Lila and I started a mom's group at church. Well it is actually more for me :) It was a really great time. There are alot of other mom's there and I am really excited to get to know some of them and make some other mom friends. There is a nursery for the kido's to go to. I took Lila but I just couldn't leave her :) haha I felt like I was in a movie cause I walked in and when the lady approached me I realised that I couldn't leave her so I just quickly said, "just looking" and rolled on out of there :) haha maybe next week?
Tung
Lila is going through this stage when she stickes out her tung alot, and i LOVE IT!!! (is that how you spell tung? such a funny word )
New Developments
Lila seems to be changing everyday! I feel like she does something new every single day. Some of her newest developments this week include, giggling (she laughs alot now, even when we tickle her), she is holding things on her own, talking alot more (lots of new noises), and she has started playing with her feet a little. Why is everything she does so cute and entertaining to me?
Bumbo Chair!
This week we got Lila bumbo chair, she loves it, and she is so cute in it! It is helping her neck get nice and strong.
A Visit From Auntie Lyss
Aunt Alyssa came to visit us this week! She was here for two nights and we had a fabulous time with her. Jeremy had to work so we got alot of girl time. Lila loved hanging out with her!
Lila's Two Month Check-Up
Lila had her two month check up yesterday! She weighed 14 lbs and 4 oz. and was 24 1/2 inches long. That puts her in the 98 % for weight and 97 % for height. :) She is a healthy baby :) The doctor raved about how much hair she had and about how much she smilled :) It was almost a perfect check-up except for Lila had to get some shots :( It was really hard for mommy. Lila cried when she got the shots, then mommy held her. She continued to cry for about a minute then was laughing two mintues later, then fell asleep! haha, I am sure it was harder for me then it was for her.
So Much to Update...
Oh my! So many new things have happened in the past month! I have so much updating to do. I will have to back track a bit and fill you all in on Lila's recent adventures...
Two Months Old
I can not believe our little Lila is already two months old! The past few months have gone by so fast and Lila has already changed so much! She can now hold up her head on her own, giggle, smile, play with toys, etc. It's all happening too fast!
First Night Away
Last night I went to see "New Moon" with my friend Jane. It was my first night away from Lila and Jeremy's first night alone with Lila. :) It was also her first time eating from a bottle. It went really well except for the part where I missed them...
Stocking!!
Just ordered Lila her Christmas stocking!!! It says her name on it and has a little sugar plum fairy dancer! I think she is gonna love it!
Lila's New Swing
Yesterday Lila and I went to hang out with my friend Brynn and her friend Reese again! They gave Lila the most amazing swing! I have never seen anything like it! Lila loves it and when we put her in it last night she just kept talking! I guess she really had something to say about how much she likes it :)
One Month Already!

Lila's First Friend
Today Lila and I went over to my friend Brynn's house for lunch. Brynn has a 6 month year old baby girl named Reese. Lila and Reese had fun looking at eachother! This was Lila's first time seeing another little person!
"Pee Spray"
Yesterday Jeremy was changing Lila and she started to pee mid-change...then in the middle of peeing she farted and pee sprayed in Jeremy's face! hahah glad it was him and not me :) Lila just loves her daddy so much she wanted to give him an extra special gift!

Rollin'

Lila's First Thanksgiving!
Lila's first Thanksgiving was sumwhat sad because she couldn't be with her extended family :( We did our best to make it a good one though. We had a big thanksgiving day meal with some of our friends: Adam, Peter, Erin, Nate and Anita. Lila seemed to enjoy herself but of course missed everyone :) We are so thankful for our little angel.

Daddy's Football Game
Tonight Lila went to her first footballgame of daddy's :) Jeremy's team was in in the playoffs so Lila, mommy and grandma Beth went on an outing to support daddy :)

Such a Blessing...
This morning I am thinking about what a blessing Lila is. And what an amazing experience it has been to carry her around inside of me for the past nine months. God is truely creative! So instead of being anxious for her arrival...I am going to enjoy the last few days I have to feel her move and grow in my tummy :)

Watching Lila's bathtime video takes my breath away. Anna used to do this. More than any other baby, Lila makes me recall precious moments with my own two girls. You don't realize how quickly life passes by until you have a child. Thank you for sharing these moments with us. She is dreamy.
