Little Einstein’s Home Day Care is a new way of thinking when it comes to care for your child and respect for parents/Guardians. Little Einstein’s cares for the whole child and each child is considered an individual. No two children will progress through the learning process the same. Each child is given individual attention as well as group attention. No child is ever left out and every child is treated as an equal.
Parents are shown the respect they deserve by abiding by different parenting styles or choices made while also offering child rearing advice when asked for. My prices are low in order to offer all parents/guardians the opportunity of quality care for their children. I keep an open door policy and encourage my parents to stop in unannounced to check on their child. Every family has their ups and downs and I try to recognize those in each one of my parents. I encourage my parents to share their life with me so that I can work with each family’s individual situation at the time it is happening. I consider each one of my family’s extended family and try my best to treat them as such.
Little Einstein’s specializes in newborn care and toddler care. I also accept school aged children for before/after care and summer care. I am not a preschool but do offer lesson plans to help ready your child for Kindergarten. I do encourage parents who wish their child to have a formal education before Kindergarten to please look into a certified preschool. I encourage all parents to research any preschool program they are considering enrolling their child into.
You will find that we have wonderful and large indoor and outdoor play areas that are child friendly. Toys are kept out in the open so that they may easily be reached. Items that the children are not allowed to play with are kept put away and secured by child locks. Every child is encouraged to explore and learn. They are also encouraged to share and work as a team.
Children ages newborn to about 2 years of age play in the baby playroom where there are tons of toys, foam mats for protection and opportunity to learn. Somewhere around the age of two they are given the opportunity to graduate to the big kid learning room. This room is filled with tons of opportunities for you little one to prepare for Kindergarten. Here they will work on learning trays, puzzles, colors, crafts, books, lesson plans and more.
At Little Einstein’s children are taught to be independent and self sufficient. They are expected to think for themselves and make smart choices. Children will learn how to dress themselves, feed themselves, use the restroom independently and clean up after themselves. This can all be taught at a very early age. Teaching a child how to be independent builds leaders rather than followers.
My daycare is newborn friendly! (0-1yrs) I specialize in newborn care and can offer the very best for your little one. I have several toys, floor mats, boppys, bumbos, bouncy seats and playpens for the babies. Each newborn is held during feeding time, soothing music is played to help create a calming, secure and safe atmosphere. Parents are asked to provide, diapers, wipes, formula/breast milk baby food and rice/oatmeal to mix in food when needed. Newborns are given separate cribs which are only used by your child. All items are washed on a weekly basis. All newborns are napped and fed on demand. Everyone is given the opportunity for outside time pending weather.
Toddlers (ages 1-2): Toddlers are offered the opportunity to learn colors, numbers, shapes, social interaction, and lots of stories, crafts and indoor/outdoor activities. Children are given the opportunity to learn through play and socialization with others. All children will receive breakfast, morning snack (if needed), lunch and an afternoon snack. All toddlers are given naps in the late morning with soothing music to help calm them. If your toddler still requires two naps a day I can accommodate the schedule that you have your child on. Once your child reaches the age of two and has shown growth in certain areas they will graduate to the big kid learning room. I also have several recommendations of preschools in the area if you prefer. (Most preschools require that your child be potty trained before enrolling.) I encourage all parents to research any preschool program they are considering enrolling their child into.
Pre-K Learning Room (ages 2-5yrs): Once your child has shown me that they will no longer put things in their mouth, can follow simple instructions such as time to clean up or put your shoes on (with assistance) then they may graduate to the learning room. In here they will work on learning trays, puzzles, basic concepts such as colors, numbers, shapes, and positions like up and down. We also work on handwriting, reading, lesson plans, lapbooks and more. Television and video games are only offered as a reward system and not used on a daily basis. Children do not have to be potty trained in order to graduate to this room. I will assist parents in the potty training stage.
Before/After School: I offer before and after school care for children located w/in the NWR1 school district. Children attending school will receive a healthy breakfast to start their day off, snack after school as well as homework assistance. Many of my children have homework done by the time their parents arrive in the evening. During the summer months I offer school aged summer care so your child will have a safe home environment that includes peers they can play with.
Our outdoor play area is beautifully landscaped with lots of trees to offer shade during the hot months with a fenced in yard to protect the little ones. We have a large Rainbow Play System with offers hours of fun. Tons of toys, climbers, cars and other items for every age group are available for play. Every child including my newborns are taken outside daily (weather pending) to receive fresh air and outdoor exercise. I also take children on walks around the neighborhood several times a week.
Children are encouraged to use their imagination and creativity while at Little Einstein’s. I offer several forms of creativity from outdoor physical activities to arts and crafts, educational games and tons of books which they can read and are also read to them through out the day. I use a Montessori inspired curriculum which includes learning trays, flash cards, lapbooks and more. I am not a Montessori teacher and not a preschool teacher. You can find some photos of the lesson plans we have done on the lapbook / lessons tab of my website.
Little Einstein’s is a place where you child will love to come in the morning and hate to leave at the end of the day. Every child is treated with the love and respect that they deserve.
Parents do not have a guide book for their children but a child’s guide book is their parents.
My backyard is perfect for the older children. We have a large Rainbow play system with a club house up top. They all love it.
