"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."
John 10:10
Thanks for coming to our family blog! I'll try to update as much as I can (These sweet little girls keep me busy!). We wish we could have all of our family and friends here with us so we wouldn't need a blog to update everyone, but we're thankful to have this available. Hope you enjoy!
God bless,
The Mosley family
-Jared, Elizabeth
Isabelle, Madeline & Bruiser-
Isabelle celebrated her birthday at her school today! We baked cupcakes and Isabelle decorated them all by herself (you must see the photos!). Madeline & I attended the little party and I'm so thankful we did! Isabelle wanted Madeline to sit by her so we pulled the stroller up to the table right by Isabelle's seat. Her friends sang the Happy Birthday song & we watched as Isabelle blow out her candle. The room was silent as the kids scarfed down Isabelle's colorful cupcakes.
Isabelle was so excited! Be sure to check out our newest photo album, I added all the pictures from today. It's going to be a great birthday week!
**And Happy Birthday to our sweet nephew, Caden James!! He's turning ONE today! We love you!**
Another cold? yep. It's Madeline this time. She's working through it and getting better though. Sleeping like a champ. Sleeping so good, she got sick in her crib last night and never woke up to let us know. There was a dried up mess waiting for me this morning. ick...
It's a beautiful day here! I gathered up the girls and went to a playdate with some of Isabelle's dearest friends. I love watching her be a big girl & play with big girls. It's a little sad to watch her grow, she'll always be my baby girl. On a day like today, time seems to fly right past me. I can remember when she was Madeline's age, just barely walking...
We came home from our playdate for nap time. Madeline went straight down. That cold is taking all of her energy. Isabelle had to tuck her babies in before she would go to sleep. She placed them together on her tinkerbell couch, sang them a song & prayed with them. Luckily, my camera was handy. I'm currently uploading the video now, so if you don't see it yet check back in a few minutes. Look at the top of the page and click under "Our Videos"
Hope it makes you smile :)
Our sweet Madeline is now walking! About two weeks before her 1st birthday she started taking hands-free steps. Just one here, one there, one & a half, almost two... Still very exciting & proud to watch. But she has taken her time with walking on her own. She was holding onto the couch and almost running across it. At church Sunday night, one of the nursery workers put her on the ground feet first, held her hands & she ran to me!
We all knew she was ready, but she didn't. Until last night.... :)
We were at the Mosley's house after church, visiting. We're all together in the living room talking and enjoying each others company. Madeline has crawled to the rocking chair in the corner and has pulled herself up to a standing position. She does this all the time, so I don't think any of us thought anything about it. Until She turned around to face us... My eyes locked on her & I heard Papa break through a conversation saying "Susan, look" as he pointed to Madeline.
Her smile stretched out as wide as her face when she saw us looking at her. She took one step towards us. Both of my hands are in the air & I'm trying to keep from jumping with joy so I don't scare her... But she took a step! A huge big step! And she wasn't even trying to get to anything. Most of her steps were because she wanted to get to something close. There was nothing in reach of her.
She takes a second step. Her smile is even bigger. I don't know who is saying what, but I hear "Come on Madeline! You can do it! You're walking! Great job!" My mind is saying "I cannot believe she's finally walking! My baby is walking...!"
She takes a third step. I am now wildly fist pumping & the only word I can say is "Madeline!" -Is she really doing this?? Am I dreaming? We all have our arms outstretched, "Come on, Madeline!! Great job!!"
She takes a fourth step. Am I the only one fighting back tears? The excitement in the room is unlike anything I've ever felt!
Then she lands on her bottom with nothing less than a big goofy grin on her face. She crawls as hard as she can to her Daddy and he showers her with love & kisses then tells her how proud he is. Then she gets to me & I do the same. How proud we are of this little girl!!
On top of this wonderful event, God gave us an extra bonus...
Jared was there. Most of you know that Jared works in Wilson, almost an hour away. He also works very long hours and we don't see much of him. He is at a wonderful dealership with great co-workers & I have no doubt that God has called him to be there. But as a stay at home mom, with two small children, I miss my husband. I'm always so worried that he's going to miss the girls growing up. It breaks my heart when he leaves for work and the girls are asleep. Then when he comes home, they're already in bed. But it's where God has called us to be right now & I know that with Him, we can do this. No matter how hard, how lonely - we can do this because God called us to & He is right here with us.
As much as I wanted Madeline to hurry up and start walking (I was so, so anxious!) He allowed for Madeline to walk for the first time - on a day that Jared was off work. He was with us, cheering louder than any of us and HE was the first one SHE went to. Her Daddy is who she wanted to celebrate with first!
God loves us and gives us the desires of our hearts. We celebrated that moment as a family, and God was right there with us. With His arms wrapped around us and His love pouring over us. I am amazed at the things He does for me. I am so thankful & so in love with my God.
I've started this really great devotional book by Beth Moore. When I told my husband this, he said "Really? Another bible study?" I guess I have a hard time being patient when it comes to good books, devotionals & bible studies... I'm not even going to go through my list of what I currently have open right now. You would have the same reaction as my husband!
But this devotional, Looking Up, is so short, to the point, powerful & humbling. I'm not even to day 5 and I already feel a transformation. There are things that I struggle with daily - I would list a few, but I don't think I'm brave enough to be that open on the internet yet...
This devotional has helped me deal with these daily issues ("pits" as Beth Moore calls them) head-on. It's teaching me that I don't have to find a way to be content in my pit. God doesn't want me there! He hasn't called me to live in that pit & He wants me out! I am to look to Him & Him alone for real contentment. Why live my days full of insecurities & self-pity & worry when God can bring me out of it? I don't have to live in a pit and Praise You Lord, I don't have too!!
"God really does have the tools to unhitch that mobile pit from you. He also has a firm place for you where you can stand. And, yes, He hears you cry!"
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11
Obviously, I recommend this devotional! It will bring things out in you that you had no idea where there.
And hopefully I'll get a family update on here soon! I just wanted to share a little about this wonderful book. :)
Here's a link to the book on Amazon.com if you're interested...
This song has been in my head for days & days. It's such a powerful song! I wanted to share the lyrics with you all. Enjoy :) Have a blessed day!
You hold my every moment
You calm my raging sea
You walk with me through fire
and heal all my disease
I trust in You
I trust in You
I believe You're my healer
I believe You are all I need
I believe
I believe You're my portion
I believe You're more than enough for me
Jesus, You're all I need.
Nothing is impossible for You
Nothing is impossible
Nothing is impossible for You
You hold my world in Your hands
Nothing is impossible for You
Nothing is impossible
Nothing is impossible for You
You hold my world in Your hands
I believe You're my healer
I believe You are all I need
Oh yes You are, yes You are
I believe You're my portion
Lord, I believe You're more than enough for me
Jesus You're all I need
More than enough for me
Jesus You're all I need
You're my healer
I am OVER cold & flu season!!! With only a few virus-free breaks, the girls have been sick since January. Colds, flus, stomach bugs, ear infections, coughs, high fevers, runny noses... I thought we were finally in the clear. A week had gone by with no sickness.
Then Isabelle catches a cold, which wasn't too bad but she develop a horrible cough with this cold. The kind of cough that makes her gag, throw up & turn blue. She could barely walk across a room without getting a cough attack. Saturday was by far the hardest day for her. We ended up in the night clinic - and of course while we're there, she doesn't cough one time. The doctor checked her out and heard weezing in her lungs. She put on her a breathing treatment and sent us home. She's doing so much better! Still a little cough, but nothing compared to how it was. Praise the Lord!
And now...
Madeline is sick with the cold Isabelle had. I've been praying that her cough doesn't get as bad as big sister's did. Her fever has been a little high but the coughing as been minimal. Pray with me that this cold leaves our home!
I really pray this is the last of any sickness for a long, long time.
I'm going to try keeping this family blog up to date. I've slacked! Since we found out we were moving from Nashville, TN to Greenville, NC I couldn't find a lot of time for updates. But now, we're settled and I have no excuse :) Check back for updates!
Sorry it's been so long since I've posted an update. As you could imagine - I've been a little busy... :)
The girls are doing great!
Isabelle loves her baby sister. She doesn't always understand why Madeline can't play with her, but she loves trying to give her a bottle and a pacifier. And she loooves giving her kisses. She always kisses Madeline night night. She also has a new baby doll that has become her baby. I got an old bottle that was once Isabelle's and she feeds her baby with it. (Soooo cute! Pictures posted in newest album :)) She also cradles the baby and burps her. And when she hugs the baby she says "Awww!" She's a great lil Mommy! And she seems to be picking up new words every day! Just last night she said "bath" for the first time at bath time. And she tells me when she has made a dirty diaper by either saying "poo poo!" or "pee!" - Time to get her ready for potty training! And we ask for your prayers during this time... ;)
Madeline has been quite the night owl the past two nights. Last night she was awake & screaming from 1 am - 5 am. I couldn't do anything to make her feel better which always makes you even more frustrated. So today she woke up and had an enormous dirty diaper. We both feel better. :) She's still a little on the tiny side, but I can notice more weight on her every day. For those of you who didn't know, it took Madeline two weeks to get back up to her birth weight so we've been keeping an eye on her. I don't think there's anything wrong. I just think she would prefer to sleep than eat. But she is doing just great. And as beautiful as ever!
Jared has taken a new job so please keep our family in your prayers. It's a really great job and we will be able to see him a little more than we did with his last job. Just pray that this transition is as smoothly as possible. It's always hard starting a new job!
And me? Well, I'm making it. :) Being a mom of two is just something you can't prepare for. You have to take it day by day, sometimes hour by hour. It's a busy, crazy life but I honestly love it! I'm so excited to watch these two girls grow up together and I'm so proud to be their Mommy. I do hope that Madeline starts sleeping through the night soon, though. I'm getting a little tired... :)
Her birthday was March 1st!
She was born at 12:45 pm
7 lbs 11 oz
19 3/4 in long
A perfectly healthy baby girl!
TONS of photos have been added. Enjoy!
We went to our final appointment today for Miss Madeline!
I have dilated to 3 cm! Progress is great!
I'm now waiting on my contractions to get to 5 minutes apart. Once that happens, it will be time for her arrival :)
It could happen any day now, or my progress could completely stop and I would have her next week.
But either way - She'll be here by March 3rd! We are so excited to meet are new baby! I can't wait to bring her home and start our new lives together as a family of 4 :) + Brusier too! haha
Keep us in your prayers. Pray for a safe and fast delivery!
We'll update you as we go :)
The good thing about me taking it easy this week - tons of play & cuddle time with my sweet Isabelle :)
I've taken a ton of photos the last few days. A part of me is a little sad that these are the last two weeks she'll be our only child. Don't get me wrong, I'm sooo excited about everything that is about to happen. I can't wait to start this chapter of life with my family. But it's sad to see another chapter closing. So I'm taking photos and making videos. :)
Check out the pictures section!
Enjoy!
We got a nice suprise yesterday at our doctors appointment!
Dr. B said I am now 2 cm dilated and 100% ready for labor! I was told I could go into labor on my own any day now! On March 3rd, if I still have not gone into labor, I will be induced. I was induced with Isabelle so I feel totally comfortable with this. And it's nice to have a light at the end of the tunnel!
As of today I am only 37 weeks, which is technically full term. Even though I could go into labor any minute, I'm trying to take it easy this next week. My doctor said everything was fine and Madeline would be fine if I delivered at 37 weeks, but I would just personally feel better if she could stay in until 38 weeks. I want her to be fully developed. I want her to be at a healthy weight. I don't want her to have any problems when she enters this world. So resting and relaxing is at the top of my list this week. It's important to me that she stays in as long as possible. And if she comes tonight, I'll still be just as thrilled & excited to meet her :) I'm just a mom and of course, I worry to much about my babies. It's my job though, right?
Oh and just one last note - when your doctor tells you that you could go into labor and day, it's not exactly the most pleasant feeling in the world. You would think it would be. It means you're almost done. All the hard work you've put in to carrying your baby for nine months is about to pay off - any day now! And I guess part of it is a nice feeling...
But I'm terrified! The idea of going to Wal Mart scares me to death. If my water breaks in the middle of Wal Mart or church or any other highly populated public place - I will just DIE of embarrassment!! And there is no way to get over this fear. Not until she gets here. So I prepare the best I can and tell myself that if my water DOES break in public - It's just meant to be and I'll get through it. So please pray for me. Pray that this doesn't happen to me...
As of right now, Isabelle is taking her first nap in her new room!
She's been sleeping in there great at night time. Once we lay her in there, she doesn't get out of her bed, even if she wakes up during the night.
Although she doesn't like to lay in the normal position. She sleeps with her head at the foot of the bed, on her belly, with her feet on her pillow. And on top of the blankets. She did this in her crib though, so it's not too suprising to us.
And nap time has been a little hard. She's been taking naps in her crib. I thought we wouldn't be able to break that habbit, but 3 days after our first attempt - she's in her new room!
She didn't want to sleep on the bed though. So she pulled out her tinkerbell couch and passed out. She looks so cute!
Only one photo - my camera makes a shutter sound and I didn't want to wake her.
But I also posted picture of our weekend :)
Enjoy!
Isabelle slept all night in her new room!
She didn't even try to get up when I laid her down. She went to sleep like it was no big deal! However, I couldn't take my eyes off the video monitor. I kept thinking she was going to wake up scared because she wasn't in her crib. Or fall out of her bed
But she suprised me! She did so great :)
I wasn't able to get a picture of her actually sleeping in the bed, but I did take a few pictures of her new room. You can find them in the pictures section!
Enjoy!
My sweet 1st born daughter, Isabelle, is graduating from her sweet little baby crib this week.
She is upgrading to a whole new room with new furniture and a "big girl" bed. Oh, and there's even a fancy baby gate at the door to her new room. (Picture coming soon!)
I haven't had time to paint or even decorate this room, so it's a little boring right now. But I can work on that this summer.
Anyways - It's almost heartbreaking to watch your babies grow. I see why everyone says to enjoy every minute because it goes by so fast. In just a few short months, my little baby girl will be two. TWO. I'm not even sure where this past year went. It's completely flown by.
Our oldest daughter is growing older and we are welcoming a new baby girl into our family. Our sweet Madeline.
And in the blink of an eye, I will be sitting here writing about Madeline upgrading to a new "big girl" room and how she will be turning TWO soon.
Sometimes life is just too fast.
FINALLY - everyone in this house is back to normal!
No more tummy bug.
No more colds.
Nothing.
Isabelle is finally acting like herself again! She's been running around and playing all morning.
Thank you for your prayers! It's so nice to have my family back to normal. & I'm soooo thankful I didn't catch this nasty bug. :) That thing could've sent me into labor! haha
Enjoy your week everyone!
Isabelle is tummy bug free!
But now Daddy has it. And it's really rough on him. So please keep him in your prayers!
I've locked him in the bedroom & told him to stay away. He's texting if he needs anything, otherwise - keep the sickness away from Mommy!
He had a really high fever last night but it has dropped this morning. Hopefully this wont last as long as Isabelle's did!
First of all, thank you to everyone who has been praying for our baby girl. We've received tons of calls, emails, text messages & facebook comments with concerns and prayers. I can't tell you how much that means to us. Having a sick babe is always so hard, especially on the parents. When you took a few seconds out of your day to let us know you were thinking & praying for our family, it was so encouraging to us and helped us get through this horrible sickness. So thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
Now on to the sick babe. As of last night, she had completed 3 whole days of not being able to hold any food down. Not a single bite. She hated her pedialyte so I would fixed her sippy cups with one part fruit juice and three parts water. She barely drank that, but - she drank it.
We called her doctors office. They informed us that there is a stomach virus going around. I asked why it was taking so long for Isabelle to get over and they said that smaller children have a harder time fighting off the tummy bug because their little tummies aren't strong enough, so it takes longer. Basically, she was going to be fine as long as she was having wet diapers. And she was, so we told ourselves we just had to hang in there.
She ate a good sized dinner last night. Tons of cheerios & some famous Mosley potato soup. This was the first time she had shown any interest in eating more than a few bites in 3 days. Thinking that we were finally in the clear, we put her to bed.
Yeah... we were wrong! She got sick twice last night. After the second time, I told her that she couldn't do it again because we would be out of sheets and blankies. Praise the Lord, she listened. After being up a totall of three hours, Mommy finally went to bed.
And we woke up to a clean baby girl! It's a whole new Isabelle. She's eating like she was four days ago, she's drinking tons of water & juice, and she's finally making dirty diapers (3 all before noon).
So far she has held down breakfast and a light snack! I really think we're getting past this now. This is the most improvement I've seen all week. I'll still keep everyone updated, but expect good news from here on out!
Oh and by the way, no matter how young you are, when your baby girl doesn't eat for 3 whole days - you gain a few grey hairs and a few "stress" wrinkles. This is the worst illness she's had and we're praising God it's leaving her system!
Thank you again everyone! We appreciate & love you all so much :)
The Mosley Family.
Isabelle finally ate dinner last night. I fixed her favorite - breakfast. :)
After she ate she seemed to be doing a lot better. She was playing, singing, dancing, jumping - all the signs of a normal babe. Daddy got home and she was still acting fine. She screamed with excitement as she saw his car pull in the driveway and she played with him until she finally went to bed.
I can remember thinking, "Maybe it's just a 24 hour tummy bug..."
Then 10:00 happened. Jared and I had just settled down to watch American Idol on our dvr. We watched the first audition with the socially akward guy, and then Isabelle started screaming and crying.
I mean, screaming and crying like her little world was falling apart. As I opened the door, I was slapped in the face with the smell of vomit.
Isabelle was standing in her crib, covered in the mess, screaming & crying.
So I called for Jared. I mean, there's no reason for me to do this by myself again when he's home right? :)
So in the end, we thought she was in the clear. We were totally wrong. We gave her another bath and stayed up to watch cartoons. That sweet daddy of hers went to the store to get some pedialyte. She was finally calmed down and ready for bed a little over an hour later.
She slept through the night and woke up in a good mood. And there were no suprises in her bed. :)
Continue to pray for her! She seems to be doing better, but I don't want to get my hopes again. I do hope we're finally in the clear!
We've been battling a cold for a week now.
It got the best of Isabelle today. She's been sick all day. She made quite a mess in her crib. Normally, I'm ok cleaning that sort of thing up - but I'm sick too. It took everything in me to not repeat what she had done. haha
The house is staying sanitized. We're washing our hands. Isabelle has already had one bath today due to her sickness and she'll get another one tonight.
She's not running a fever, so I'm sure she'll be back to normal soon. It's just hard fighting off this silly virus. Oh and she's not eating anything. She's only had two bites of a banana and 4 crackers all day. I've fixed all of her favorite foods today and she wont touch them.
I've called her doctor and he said not to worry too much about it since she doesn't have a fever. I just have to give her some more time to fight it off.
Keep us in your prayers! It's so hard having a sick baby, & it's even harder when Daddy is working all day and Mommy is pregnant and sick too!
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day :)
So I'm not sure if this is something I should be worried about...
It could be a sign of what is coming...
Or it could just mean that she's a little cramped...
But our sweet unborn daughter, Madeline, has been kicking in my tummy so hard that she's actually popping my back.
Is this normal?
I meant to post this yesterday, but never got to it.
Yesterday was Jared's birthday! (01.14.10)
Happy birthday babe :) I love you!
We have decided to hold off on having a shower for Miss Madeline.
There really aren't a lot of things that we are in need of, besides diapers and wet wipes of course. We were so blessed with gifts that were given to us when we were pregnant with Isabelle. And their birthdays will be only a month apart, so Madeline will be able to wear a lot of Isabelle's old baby clothes.
We do want to see all of our friends & family and we want everyone to have a chance to meet Madeline. So this spring, we will be having a get together at our house. Not so much a shower, but more of a "meet & greet" - haha! It will give us a chance to see our friends and family & a chance to show off our new baby girl. Oh and most important - it will give Jared a chance to be a grill master for the day :)
The diapers & wipes party that was scheduled on Jan. 31st has been cancelled. Just look for updates a few weeks after Madeline's birth about our get together. This will not be a shower, so there is no need to bring a gift. Just bring your smiling faces! We will need to see them after a few weeks of being home with a newborn! :)
If you are interested in getting something for Madeline, we have a very small registry at Babies R Us. If you don't live near us, you can order items online and they can be shipped to our house before the birth. You can go HERE and it will take you directly to our registry. Or if you go to the store, you can search the registry by "Mosley." And of course, diapers and wet wipes are always appreciated. We plan to use Huggies "Little Snugglers" sizes N - 3 diapers and Huggies "Sensitive" wipes. But feel free to get whatever brand is on sale.
We will update everyone as we move closer to the due date. I have an appointment with Dr. Barnett in the morning. Everything seems to be going smoothly right now! I just can't wait to have both of my girls in my arms at the same time :)
We were suppose to get a TON of snow while we slept last night. A few days ago, they said 4-6 inches. By last night they had changed it to an inch.
Either way, we thought we were getting something! And so did all of middle Tennessee. Every school system in our area went ahead and closed schools as of yesterday.
We woke up and there was nothing. Not even a snowflake.
Around 8 am it started lightly snowing. Some of it has stuck. But there's not enough to play in.
Isabelle and I had plans to make a snowman today. Hopefully we'll get one good snow before spring comes!
UPDATE: Enough snow finally fell! Isabelle, Bruiser and Mommy had a play date in the snow! Photo's posted :)
She looooooved it by the way! As soon as I opened our door, she ran right out like she had done it a million times. She's a very happy girl :)
I saw Dr. B on Tuesday for a regular check up.
I got to hear Madeline's heartbeat :) It's' one of the sweetest sounds in the world!
Everything is looking great. Madeline has turned in a head down position after being breech for weeks. Looks like she's getting exciting about her arrival :)
We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe new years!
Love,
The Mosley Family
Isabelle has the absolute most wonderful kisses ever.
And last night, she gave one to Madeline :)
Madeline loves any attention she gets. Whether is just Daddy saying "Hello Madeline!" or him putting his face up to my belly so she can kick him. Or when Isabelle snuggles up to me and Madeline can feel and hear her. She goes crazy in there!
I can't wait to kiss those precious feet that kick me in excitment all day. :) I can't wait to hold her in my arms!
The three of us laid in bed this morning and watched Madeline dance around my belly.
Everytime my belly would move, Isabelle would put her hand on it and look up at me with wide eyes as if saying "Whooooaaa!"
There is nothing in the world like watching your unborn child dance around your belly.
Today is going to be a great day. :)
We hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!
This Mommy will be eating tons of yummy food :)
Love,
Jared, Liz, Isabelle, Madeline & Bruiser
The Mosley Family :)
The appointment went great yesterday! Well, besides the fact that we were there for 5 hours due to double booking, but that's another story...
My placenta has completely lifted from my cervix! I no longer have placenta previa :) Praise Jesus! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.
Madeline is sitting extremely low in my belly. Her head is facing down and her body is in the right position, she's just found a really low spot to call her home. My doctor said this was nothing to worry about. She'll probably stay that low through out the pregnancy and although it looks scary, it's perfectly fine. Sometimes I'm scared to bend over or even lean forward because it seems like I would be hurting her. And even though Dr. B said not to worry, I will. I'll still take it easy.
I got to watch Madeline dance around my belly for a whole hour yesterday! She was so active, the nurse had a hard time getting the pictures she needed. I watched her squirm around my belly, I watched her hit me a few times, she arched her back and stuck her butt up at me, she showed me how she can make a fist already, and when we had the monitor on her face, her lips were moving really fast as if she was trying to talk to us. It was so sweet! I could've laid there and watched her all day.
So overall, Mommy and baby are great :)
We go back in 3 weeks for a regular check up.
This morning, Isabelle & I were cuddling while watching cartoons. She was sitting in my lap and her body was snuggled against the left side of my belly.
After a few minutes, I felt Madeline kick in places she hadn't reached yet. They were really high kicks and mostly to the side. Then it felt like her whole body curled up on the left side of my belly, right under my rib.
At first, all I thought about was how uncomfortable I was. Those of you that have been pregnant before, you know that not all baby movements are just sweet little kicks. Sometimes, those sweet little butts get wedged under your ribs and make it impossible for you to do anything except lean back and wait for baby to move. Although Madeline isn't big enough to make me that uncomfortable, it still felt like she was stretching my belly out beyond it's comfort zone.
Then it dawned on me.
Madeline wanted to cuddle with her sister. She did everything she could to get her entire body on the left side of my belly. I pushed a little on the right side and it felt like jello. When I pushed on the left side, it was as hard as a baby. :) Madeline just wanted some pre-bonding time with her big sister. According to the doctors, she is able to hear sounds outside of her current home right now. She can hear us talk. I'm sure she heard Isabelle singing along to My Friends Tigger & Pooh and just had to get closer.
So this morning, I was blessed with a beautiful moment. I got to cuddle with my girls. :)
Isabelle learned a new word today!
"Baby"
She says "BBaaayyyyyyyy BBeeeee" :)
I'll try to catch it on video!
Isabelle got her new costume today!
She's going to be a fairy princess this year :) I can't get enough of the outfit! And make sure you pay close attention to the shoes! They're adorable!
We dont have plans yet for halloween, but as long as the weather is ok I'm sure we'll be getting this mess of cute-ness out and showing her off! More photos are sure to come :)
Isabelle get her "big girl" bed! It's a white toddler bed and we always bought the bedding. Oh and might I add I found the bedding for twenty five dollars! This is why I love Target :) We still have some painting to do and a few more furniture pieces to buy, then we will be intoducing her to her new room. Videos & Photos will be posted.
Then it's off to update Miss Madeline's room! We'll be keeping all the nursery furniture that Isabelle used. All we're going to change is the bedding and maybe paint the room. Of course we'll post photos of that too!
And remember, you can print off any or all photos that I post. I think you just have to create a shutterfly account. Take advantage of this! Let me know if you need help with it.
We decided to name her
Madeline Elizabeth :)
Yesterday we found out that our second child is a girl! A beautiful little girl.
She was so active yesterday! The lady doing our ultrasound was unable to get all of the photos she needed because baby girl wouldn't stay still. She said that the baby looks perfect, they just weren't able to see everything they need to see. And some of that could've been my fault - I had cinnamon rolls for breakfast...
Another issue (not problem, just tiny issue) is that I have placenta previa. Basically, my placenta is completely on top of my cervix. My doctor thinks that it will work itself out, which is what we're praying for. If the placenta doesn't lift, I will have to have a c-section. This is not how I want things to happen, but God is in control and I know that everything will be fine. And the good news is, this does not effect my health or the baby's health. We're just fine :)
So, because of our extremely active baby and my placenta, we have to go back November 10th for another ultrasound. My doctor isn't worried & neither are we. It's in God's hands.
We went shopping yesterday for the new baby girl! We don't have to buy hardly anything for her thanks to Isabelle's baby clothes, but we wanted to buy something. And we wouldn't dare leave Isabelle out of this event. She got a cute Tee that says "Big sisters are the coolest" :)
There are two photo's of our new baby girl. And we're still deciding on a name. We'll have one picked out soon. :)
Keep us in your prayers!
We find out the sex of our second child in TWO days!
I will have to keep myself busy to make the time fly by. I'm so excited!
Isabelle could care less. She has no idea whats going on! I'll ask her if she wants a little brother or sister and she runs to Bruiser and says "Bubba!" I can't tell if she wants a brother or another puppy. :)
Our appointment is at 10:00 am. Keep us in your prayers! We'll update that afternoon once we are home.
Two really cute new videos of Isabelle have been added :)
Check them out on the left hand side of your screen. Enjoy!
We went to see Dr. B yesterday for a regular check up.
He said everything is looking great! I've had some cramping in my lower abs, but he said women usually experience that more in 2nd pregnancies. He checked everything out just to make sure, and he said that baby is fine :)
Our ultrasound is 2 weeks from today! I can't wait to find out if our miracle is a boy or girl!
Jared & I are taking a weekend to ourselves.
This will be the longest amount of time that we've been away from Isabelle. I know that she is going to have a blast at g.ma & g.pa Rambo's, but I am going to miss that little girl so much! I'm so used to being with her all of the time, it's going to be weird not hearing her giggling in the background of everything I do.
However, I will be spending a lot of time with my husband. Just me and him. I can't tell you the last time that has happened! I'm sure it was before Isabelle was born. It will be so nice to just hang out with him. :)
Keep us in your prayers as we travel. And Dad, I'll try not to call every 5 minutes. :)
We heard baby's heartbeat yesterday!
It was one of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard. Baby's heartrate was at 160 bpm. Doctor said everything was fine!
We go back in two weeks for normal testing & bloodwork.
And then...
October 14th is the big day! We will find out if our little miracle is a boy or girl :) I can't wait!
Isabelle found a bottle of mommys nail polish this morning.
She giggled as she threw it toward the kitchen floor and it shattered into a million pieces.
Mango nail polish + light tan stone tiles = not. fun. at. all.
Oh Isabelle...
This little tiny baby in my belly is making itself known.
I have already started feeling little kicks & turns. It started at about 13 weeks. Which I thought was odd because I didn't feel Isabelle until 18 weeks. Then I read that you are able to recognize baby movements earlier with your second pregnancy, which makes sense.
I love feeling my little baby move around! Baby was very active last night. I was rocked to sleep by little kicks and turns.
And this is why I love pregnancy. :) Well, one of the many reasons! I love being able to feel my baby move and grow. I love having this connection with my child. There is nothing like motherhood, and there is defenitely nothing like pregnancy. I am loving every second of this. :)
God has blessed us and our family.
Although Isabelle has said more than one word, as of now she is only repeating one word. And that word is "ball."
She wont repeat any of the other words that she has already said. It's just "ball."
And since that is the only word she can say right now, she says it all the time. Like when she's playing with her toys or riding in the car. Instead of hearing her normal jibber jabber, I hear "ball, balll, baaaall, baaa, baaaallllll...."
It's the cutest thing ever! But I can't wait for her to learn more words. She's so happy with knowing how to say ball that she wont even try to say anything else right now. haha My silly girl :)
Isabelle has teeth #11, #12, & #13 coming in.
I feel so bad for her & I wish I could do more than just give her orajel.
She's really been chowing down on her teething rings. Or anything else hard she can get her hands on. Yesterday, she tried to chow on Mommy's finger. (Ooooouch!)
We've spent a lot of time cuddling & watching cartoons. Although I'm not a fan of babies watching a ton of t.v., it really calms her to watch Disney. And a calm baby makes a happy mommy. :)
The pregnancy is going well. I need to ask for you prayers though. My back pain seems to only be getting worse. By the time 5:00 pm rolls around, I can barely move from the pain. I'm hoping this ends soon. Has anyone else had back pain during pregnancy? If you have any tips of relieving the pain, I sure could use them! Jared has been great. Although there's not much he can do to help, he's always there to take care of anything I might need. And he fixed me a fantasic breakfast yesterday by the way. Yum yum :)
I just wanted to take a minute to update everyone. I haven't had the chance to add pictures. Isabelle hasn't been in the mood to be in front of the camera. :(
Hope everyone is having a great week!
I have found a new song.
It's beautiful and it will bring you to tears.
Download or buy this album as soon as you can.
Hope you love it.
Just wanted to share. :)

As I said earlier, there is something in the water. Everyone is having babies!
Saturday morning, I found out that my sister-in-law, Tiffany, drank her little glass of baby water. :) Looks like I'm going to be an Aunt Liz!! Congratulations to Justin & Tiffany. We are so happy for you both. You're going to make amazing parents. And this baby is going to be one of the most loved babies ever! Isabelle & our little unborn can't wait to meet their new cousin. :)
Love you both!
On the right hand side of this page, there is a section called pictures. You can go there to see all of the photo's I've uploaded. I usually add photo's daily, so if you come to this page and don't see a new blog, be sure to check the picture's section for new uploads.
Oh, & did you know you can print out any photo's you would like? (Yes, this is one of the main reason's I came to shutterfly.)
Hope you are enjoying all the new photo's. And print all you like!
Liz
As you know, Jared & I are almost 10 weeks pregnant.
My (step)sister-in-law, Angie, is also pregnant. Oh, & we're due on the exact same day.
My step sister, Jennifer, is also pregnant. She just found out they're having a little boy. (Congrats!) She is due in January.
I also have three other friends that are pregnant. Two of them are due in March (same time as us!) and one is due in April. Congrats ladies :)
I think it's safe to say - there's something in the water.
I'm hoping that I will be able to keep up with this blog a little better than our last one. Shutterfly looks like an easier site to work with so we're going to try this out.
Thanks for coming by! I plan to be updating this blog weekly (at least) with stories of our family. I hope you plan to come back!
Oh, and don't forget to become a member. (right hand side od your screen.)
Jared just called and he is on his way home from work. It's time for me to get in the kitchen and get dinner started. Four Cheese spaghetti, corn & cheese toast. Yummy. :)

Madeline and her big sisters "Miss Kitty"
I missed Isabelle so much! I took her "Miss Kitty" to the hospital with me :)
Right before we left for the hospital to have Madeline.
I was very VERY emotional!
Miss Kitty was my way of having Isabelle there with me.
I realllllly missed her!
This is where Miss Kitty stayed until Madeline was born :)
Looks worse than it was.
She just came out to fast and wasn't able to get all the liquids out naturally.
She was perfectly healthy :)
Madeline was born the day after her new cousin, Blayne!

We had a jealousy issue over Madeline's bottle... Isabelle took two sips out of the bottle, realized it was too hard to get the juice out, and asked for her sippy cup. :)
That was over quick!
We love you too :)
