The LMVSC Patriots Rising U10 Academy has 3 Academy teams that compete in the Washington Area Girls Soccer League (WAGS) and the Old Dominion Soccer League (ODSL). The teams train year round and participate in winter indoor soccer, soccer training camps, and pre- and post-season soccer tournaments.
Developing players is the primary goal of the coaching staff. In order to do this, we continue to challenge and provide avenues to keep each player’s technical and tactical skills improving in order to maintain and improve the competitive level of the teams.
Our U10 Academy teams always welcomes talented, hard working, and committed players born on or after August 1, 2002 with the aspiration to play at a competitive level. If you are interested in learning more about our teams, please email Esteban Maldonado at maldoned@gmail.com or call 703.499.6424.

TRYOUTS: LMVSC Girls - Rising U-11 Patriots
The Head Coach of the current U-10 girls academy is Esteban Maldonado. Coach Esteban hold as USSF “B” National Coaching License and is testing for his USSF “A” license in June 2013. He also holds his USSF National Youth License. Coach Esteban is heavily involved in the Virginia Olympic Development Program, where he coaches both at the Northern District and State Level. Coach Esteban played soccer collegiately at James Madison University and in high school was a three-time first-team All-State player at Edison High school in Virginia and was also named Washington Post All-Met Player of the Year.
Coach Esteban’s philosophy is that travel soccer should focus on player development by focusing on technical skills and tactical awareness so the players will have individual and team success at the travel soccer level and build skills that will allow them to succeed in soccer beyond travel soccer.

Fernando Zorro (USSF “E” National Coaching License, testing for USSF “D” License in June 2013, travel soccer coach for area teams for the last six years).
