A very nice resort located on south end of beautiful Longboat Key near Sarasota on Florida's gulf coast.
It is a private and scenic resort away from the major tourist areas. It is a great place to relax and unwind yet it is fairly close to many nice restaurants and Florida attractions. It is more suited for the weathly and upper middle class. There were some families with young children but the resort still had a quiet and peaceful ambiance. Definately not a wild spring break type resort. All the rooms are suites with kitchens with one or two bedrooms and large flat screen TV's. The views from the upper floors were awesome.
Our golf course view suite had two small balconies. Our king bed was very comfortable with good linens and the room and the feel of luxury. The beach was very nice, private and peaceful. The service we received was excellent and friendly. The only downside is the cost... an average room runs at least $380 a night plus a $20 per night resort fee.
The resort is located near the beautiful St. Armand's Circle and Sarasota area and is a great base for seeing the sights on the west coast of Florida. The resort itself has tremendous amenities. A secluded private beach, golf course, fitness facilities, spa, and great restaurants.
This is a good option for people that want a beach/golf resort inside the U.S.
