Mackinac Island Trip with Augie and Ti - mackinacislandtrip1

Welcome
In late May, 2008, we took the boys on their first real vacation to Mackinac Island, which is located between the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan. It was about a five hour drive for us to the ferry station in Mackinac City--the boys did great in the car! There was some initial whining, but after they realized they were not going to the dog park, they settled down and either slept or looked out the windows.
Augie and Ti were a big hit from the moment they set foot on the ferry dock
They were petted, and photographed, and hugged and videotaped and complimented constantly. They acted like dream dogs the whole trip! They walked nicely through the crowds, slept at our feet in cafes, and were game to go anywhere. We stayed at Mission Point Resort, which as far as we know is the only place on the island that accepts dogs. Hope you enjoy!
