Happy Fall!!!
On to more exciting things, I Made Madison 2 tutus and they are more than super cute!It only took me around 45 min each and I just looked up a youtube video on how to make it, I will add the video to the site. I made a red one for her Halloween costume and also to use for Christmas pictures, and my personal favorite the hot pink and light pink one! Madi has been wearing them around the house since I made them, she flaps her little arms like a bird so she can feel the "poofiness" and rolls around on the floor! We had to go to Target a few days ago and threw a FIT because I made her take it off, but I think that I am going to figure out a cute shirt to wear with them since they are selling them in all of stores (ie. Gymboree for $35)
Well I'm off to go take a quiz for school and do the dishes while Madi takes her nap! Have a great day everyone!
p.s. I have lots of new photos to edit and upload!
Hello again everyone! The pictures above of Madi were taken last Sunday at our apts. and I was not very happy with them at the time, BUT I just uploaded them a few hours ago and some were better than I thought. Anyways, Eric and I are going to try and take her Fall photos this weekend so check back around the middle of next week for some hopefully super cute photos!
So a few days ago I was reading one of the blogs that I follow, hissyfits photography (it's in my favorites) and their was a link to an adorable five year old girl named Kate McRae who was diagnosed in late June with a brain tumor and is in the fight of her life. Here is the address www.prayforkate.com please take the time to read her story and say a prayer for her AND her family. I know that I have days that I think are horrible, but when you read a story like Kate's you realize what really matters in life . I am challenging myself to think before I complain about the small things and cherish all of the great times in my daily life. Eric and I are so blessed our family is safe, happy, and healthy and in the end that is all that really matters. So now Eric and I challenge everyone that reads this to do the same.
We have had a busy past couple of weeks at the Tyler house! Last week Madi had to go for her one year check-up and they gave our poor little lady FIVE shots and they pricked her little finger! She was pitiful! I was so close to bursting in to tears in that little office myself! I can not stand to see her with those big tears running down that sweet little face! Other than all of the shots, her Doctor said that she was "perfect", which we already knew!
So we have been in our new apt. for 2 months now and I am already freaking out because it is unorganized! All of our desk drawers and storage areas are stuffed with all kinds of stuff. So starting on tomorrow I am going to reorganize everything! I think that it wil make me feel "lighter" ,if you know I mean! Eric is even going through all of his clothes so we can make a trip to Goodwill! Enough about that boring stuff!
We have decided what Madi is going to be for Halloween....... a Peppermint! It sounds weird but she is going to be absolutley adorable! I found the idea on the Parents magazine website! she is going to wear red and white striped tights, red shoes, some kind of white shirt with a huge glittery peppermint on it and a red tutu that I am making!!! I can not wait to take pictures.
Before I , I must put in a "shout-out" to Eric and his dad Mark!! Both of their birthdays were on Tuesday, isn't that the coolest thing!!! Well I am going to go and spend some time with my Hubby! Have a great weekend everyone!!!
Hello, everyone! Wow, Our baby girl Madi is One, we can not believe it! It seems like just yesterday that we held her for the first time .
Since she is such a sweet, beautiful, and intelligent little lady, we decided she deserved a birthday party, so all of our family and friends could share the love. It was great, we had it at the wonderful Pullen park on Sunday and it was ladybug themed. Madi's favorite part would have to be eating her cake. She had the most confused look on her face when everyone started singing Happy Birthday, and then I sat her cake in front of her and she dug into it. She would put her mouth at the edge of the cake and rake it in with both hands!!! IT was too CUTE and she probably ate half of the cake! Then Yesterday which was her actual birthday we all just hung around the house (Eric was off of work) and played with all of her new gifts! It was so nice for Eric and I to just sit around and play with Madi, thoughs are the times that we would not trade for the world!!! Oh, yeah I almost forgot Madi was so tired from her party on Sunday that she slept until 9am on Monday, that was a treat for all three of us!! I cooked spagetti for dinner last night(Madi's favorite) and then I baked a cake for her too. She had spagetti and cake everywhere but she loved every minute of it and so did we! By the time she finished everything Eric and I had to rinse her off in the sink before we could give her a bath.
Anyways I will post some pictures from her party later this week. I did not take as many photos as I would have liked, but my wonderful husband took some great ones for me. ( I think that he has caught the photog bug also!) Have a great (and short) week! Thanks to everone who came to Madis party!
