Hi guys,

Hope this address is still good for you all, but wanted to include the twins since it'[s their birthday tomorrow.

This is just to let you know that we are just back from a 22-day cruise on the Queen Mary 2, roundtrip from NYC to the British Isles, so are a little late getting a card in the mail.

But we are sending a check for you to apply to beds for the girls for their birthday. I know it's not the same as getting a toy they can play with but maybe downline when they're snuggling up in their new beds, you'll tell them that their great grandma bought a little piece of it.

Lots of love to all and especially Happy Birthday to Madison and Mackenzie.

Dear Family,

What a lovely gift! In the midst of all of our travails, the beautiful album filled with adorable pictures of the girls was my best gift. The night that Dick and Karen arrived, they sat on either side of me on the couch and told me all the wonderful stories that go with each picture...all the funny things that Madison and Kenzie do and say, and I felt as if I were really right there with them.

That was Wednesday night. Thursday I took Harvey to the hospital with pneumonia, and everything was downhill from that point on. We barely had time with Dick and Karen at all. A few dinners and brief morning time, and I was off to the hospital for the day. Of course, Harvey missed Billy Elliot and the tickets that Dick and Karen gave us for Christmas, and then the guys were back to Denver early Sunday morning.

The best thing that happened was that Dick fixed everything that was broken in my condo before he left...

my TV, my printer, my ligiht bulb in the chandelier, my car mirrorl plus having the car washed and waxed. I wished he could have stayed forever, but it was a great comfort to have him here through the worst part of Harvey's illness. Fortunately I was able to bring him home Sunday afternoon.

Now the living room is loaded with oxygen tanks is Harvey is trailing tubing from one end of the condo to the other, but he is up and around and recovering rapidly. I had x-rays today and will learn shortly whether my hacking cough is walking pneumonia or just a sympathy rendition.

Anyway, your picture book was the highlight of the week, and I thank you so much.

Can't wait to see the girls in person.
