Christmas 2011
As we enter another Christmas season our hearts are filled with both joy and sadness. This is our first Christmas with our precious daughter, Camille Renee, and in our new home in Tracy. We celebrate with Kristen's brother on his engagement to his fiancee, Jade. And yet our sadness lies in the loss of Kristen's grandfather after 94 years of life.
This season is a mix of emotions. We are truly so blessed to have had so many years with Gampy and as we look at our daughter each day, we see the hope of tomorrow.
So here's wishing everyone a Christmas filled with love as we recognize that we are here on this earth for only a brief time and the true celebration of Christ's birth during this season gives us hope in eternity.
Meet baby McClain!
We were able to visually see baby McClain on Wednesday, January 19th - what a joy and an awesome experience!
The ultrasound technician was lovely and she was so excited to have both Wes and I there for our first ultrasound. She placed the machine on Kristen's stomach and our little one came into view. We saw the flutter of the rapid heartbeat and then witnessed our very active baby for a good ten-fifteen minutes! He/She didn't stop moving long enough for the tech to get a still picture!! haha! The baby was kicking a log, stretching its arms and even flipped over and arched its back and stuck its little butt out for us - as if to say, "this is what you have to look forward to - changing my dirty diapers!" haha
We were absolutely amazed to see that little person inside with a mind of its own. While Kristen laid perfectly still, the baby was very active and moving around - pretty crazy!
Afterwards we got to listen to the baby's heartbeat - what a beautiful sound! Such a fast sound like a whisper of air....we are in awe of God's amazing creation and design for childbirth!

Life Changes!
We're moving and we're pregnant!
What a way to start off the 2011 year! We are currently ten weeks pregnant, and will have a countdown page here on our website so you know how far along we are. We'll aim to update with photos once the baby bump appears on Kristen's belly :)
We're moving up to the east bay/central valley area of California in just a few short weeks and we are busy getting packed and closing things off with our employers down here in southern California.
More updates to come!
Happy Holidays!
We wish you the very best holiday season this 2010 year! Thanks for visiting our website and we hope you enjoy looking at photos of this past year in our lives.
This Thanksgiving and Christmas, we are so very thankful for the family and friends that support us and our marriage - that God has brought you into our lives.
Have a wonderful season and may you experience much joy!
Another year goes by...
Here we are in the middle of May 2010. Wes celebrated his 31st year on this earth and Kristen will celebrate her 27th this coming Sunday. We have great hopes for the coming year and are thankful for the ability to reflect on the past.
Currently we are both thankful for our jobs. Kristen continues working as Administrative Assistant for an agency which oversees the ordination process of future pastors in the Reformed Church denomination. Wes continues to oversee the fire sprinkler design department at a fire protection agency. We continue to ride out the so-called "recession" and see how blessed we are to both have work and our home.
We remain in Long Beach, California in our condo and find ourselves so forunate that we can afford to pay down our mortgage every month with money left to save. Both of our cars run beautifully and we enjoy pastimes such as flying and camping.
Our marriage continues to deepen and we are more in love than we were three years ago. We are thankful to have family and friends, both new and old, who fill our lives with joy and depth of relationship.
God has truly blessed us!!! We can't wait to see where we are at our next birthdays!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
We are finally beginning to experience some winter weather here in southern California and want to wish you all a very merry Christmas! May you richly experience the true meaning of Christmas this year as we celebrate God's decision to become a human being and walk among us - show us how it's done - how life can be lived to the fullest!
God bless you!
Year One
Visit the Year One tab at the top of the page to view photos from our first year of marriage. As we look back over the year, we are amazed at how blessed we are as well as how much we have done! We have visited seven states, celebrated Kristen's graduation from college, Wes obtaining his instrument rating for his pilot's license, and combined have taken up bicicyle riding, piano, gardening, and backpacking. Our hope is that, through these pictures, you are able to catch a glimpse of this wonderful year of marriage, adventure, our love for one another, and God's goodness to us.
We pray that you have a joyous holiday season and a happy new year!
