Hello friends and family!
We've created this site to keep you all updated on the progress of our little man. We'll do our best to keep this thing up to date!
And since we believe in giving props where props are due, thanks to the Costes for inspiring us to create this site, and to the McNeils for inspiring the name. (Links to both their sites on the right.) So we're not that creative. Oh well!

Sean meets his cousin Genevieve
Cousin Genevieve!
Sean went to the doctor yesterday. He's now 27 3/4 inches, and weighs in at 17 pounds, 13 ounces.
I forget what the head circumference was, but he seems to have escaped the Bauer Head. Way to go Sean!
Sean has recently learned to pull himself up to a standing position.
Mind you, the boy still can't sit up on his own, or stay sitting on his own indefinitely without wobbling over, and he is nowhere near crawling. But crawling doesn't seem to be on his agenda - this little man has his sights set on walking!
So let the babyproofing begin!
Sean has learned how to hug.
For the record, getting a hug from your little boy is one of the most excellent things ever. I highly recommend it.
Sean took his first steps tonight!
Recently, he's been getting much bolder with his "walking" - he lets go with one hand, and toddles along, grasping one of our fingers, practicing his balance. Occasionally, he stands for a few seconds, unaided, before wobbling over.
Tonight though, Sean was standing so well, we decided to have him try "walking" between the two of us. We sat on the floor, facing each other with Sean between us. Pat stood him up, aimed him at me, and then let him go. He took 3 or 4 steps and toddled into my arms!
We were all very excited, and so we spent the next 15 minutes doing it over and over (with varying degrees of success). Sean was very pleased with himself!!
He is now sleeping soundly - and Patty is making plans to put up a baby gate across the stairs!
