About Mrs. Neely

Amy Neely has been teaching dance for over 14 years. After high school, she was a member of the world famous Kilgore college Rangerettes. While on Rangerettes, she performed for Govenor George W. Bush, at halftime of the cotton bowl and represented the USA in Singapore at an international dance festival. Upon her completion of her years at Kilgore, she attended the University of North Texas where she was a member of their dance team. Amy graduated magna cum laude from UNT in 2000. She has taught at a variety of area dance studios, and continues to choreograph, adjudicate and instruct for competitive dance programs. Prior to arriving at MHS, Amy was the Sachse high school junior varsity drill team director and the Rockwall high school varsity drill team director. She is in her seventh year at MHS and her eleventh year of public education. She has been married to Brian Neely for eight years. They have two children. Their son Brady, who is four years old, and their daughter Addyson, who is two years old.
