I am getting MARRIED

It's official Jon proposed on Wednesday, September 10th! He had Hayden come into my classroom with a rose and a sign that read "Will you marry Jon??" My fourth graders went crazy!!! It was so fun. We will be getting married Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Heritage Gardens. This will be a super fun date night for you and your sweetie! Hayden is VERY excited for Jon to be a part of our family. He loves him so much. Hayden says his favorite thing to do is go on a "man-date" with Jon. We are super blessed to have found Jon. He is the perfect addition to the family.

Summer is here!!!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say thank you for all your well wishes during the surgery and recovery. Everything is great and my nose and sinuses are healing very well. The doctor actually found three cysts in different sinus cavities. They were all banine, so that is all we could hope for. The summer has been great. Hayden and I are spending a lot of time up in Tremonton. If you ever get up this way, please stop by, we would love to have you. We are up to our eyeballs in home renovations. It's always so gratifying when the work is done, but can get pretty grueling when you are in the middle of it. We are gutting the upstairs bathroom. It is very small, but I need some decorating ideas. I want something contemporary. If you have any ideas, please let me know! I hope you all are having a wonderful summer!!!

Miley is here!!

Miley Michelle Coates has finally arrived! She came on Monday, June 9th, weighed 8 lbs. 11ozs. and was 20.5 inches long! She is the cutest little thing ever. She has tons of thick, black, curly hair and Uncle Derek thinks she looks just like him. Hollie is doing very well (although I am sure a little sleep deprived at the moment) and is very excited to be a new mom! Michelle and Dave are getting used to the idea of being called grandma and grandpa, but they love it. I can't believe I am a GREAT aunt. Weird. We are all looking forward to traveling down south to see the newest addition. Hopefully more pictures will be coming shortly!! Welcome to the family baby Miley, we love you!!!

Latest

Life right now is hectic. I have a little less than two weeks of school, so I am trying to finish up. My poor fourth graders are soooo done!!! They are almost as ready for summer break as I am. I am having surgery on the 19th of June. I have been having bad headaches the past four months. I finally was diagnosed with a growth in one of my sinus cavities. Hopefully the recovery won't take too long, you know how active my Hayden is!! Jon and I have been dating for about four months now. Things are going well and Hayden loves him. He frequently requests Jon to tuck him in instead of me!! I think I am being replaced!!!

I just wanted to take the time to tell Everyone especially Melanie how grateful i am for her and Hayden. She has been so good to me, and loving more than I could ever repay her. She is my hope and daily light giver. She brings out the best in me. I will be forever thankful for all she gives and loves me for. I truely am the luckiest man in the world!!!
