November in the Midlands
Ok, we have a new favourite wedding venue! Pecan Wood was the most perfect setting for Bruce and Lynndene's wedding under the shade of a canopy of forest - it helped that the sun shone and sky was a sparkling blue and when the photo shoot time came the mist rolled in to add to the mystery of the pictures! Huge congrats Bruce and Lynndene - your day was truly beautiful!
Windy October Beach Weddings!
Despite the wind, Ciska and Robert were married on the Salmon Bay Beach on the 1st October - it was a BEAUTIFUL wedding and the wind did not stop the proceedings or dampen their spirits - they had their dream wedding on the beach, by the sea with their closest friends and parents! Congrats Robert and Ciska!
Beautiful August Brides!
It is taking us so long to upload new pics to our share site because we are busy designing wedding photobooks! Huge Congrats to our beautiful August Brides and dashing August Grooms - Rob & Sandy flew out from the UK to be married at Simbithi Country Club, Amanda and Kent did the same and chose Tala as their beautiful venue and then Nosipho and Ayanda came down from Jozi for their KZN wedding!
...and the months fly by!
WOW! I can't believe where time is going - it's May already and haven't mentioned the beautiful April Weddings of Mandy and Gordon in Salt Rock and Portia and Musa at Braeside and Seara's fabulous Graduation ceremony at Simbithi. Into May and the days are getting cooler and the nights chillier - Sheila and Aaron had the most spectacular Roaring 20's themed wedding, it was great guys - thanks so much - you were a delight to photograph!
Family Portraits
February has been the month of family portraits! We've had a lot of fun capturing the spirit of various local (and not so local - thanks for coming all the way out from the UK the Dunlops!) families. Whether it's been at the beach, in the Palm Lakes Estate or in the comfort of their own homes, we've had fun photographing these lovely families!
Traditional Zulu, Indian and White Weddings - 3 in a row!
The last 3 weddings could not have been more different! Phumlani and Oratile asked us to photograph and video their traditional Zulu wedding in Illovo, Amanzimtoti - it was the most amazing, colourful affair and we had so much fun capturing their happy day. Sheena and Kumeran had a traditional Indian wedding and, just as colourful an affair with beautiful sari's abounding - their wedding was held at the Umgeni Road Temple and then had a fabulous reception at the Riverside Hotel in Durban. This weekend we were so privileged to fly down to Hermanus for a spectacular white wedding in the beautiful Cape on a sunny day! Bobby and Lizahn had a beautiful ceremony and reception at the Walker Bay Vineyard - we LOVE our job!
Amanzingwe - Hylton and Cathy's Wedding
Hylt and Cath, HUGE Congrats - your wedding was amazing - thanks so much for including us in your day - it was a blast! Hope you've had a fun honeymoon? Amanzingwe was a superb venue for your day, it was great to be back in the bush, and we think the pics of you in the bush are great - hope you like them?!
Salt Rock in September!
Two Salt Rock Weddings two weeks in a row! Both very beautiful, despite the wind and rain! Zooie and Bernadette flew out from Belgium to celebrate their nuptuals on the beach and Gayle and Myles flew out from the UK - we were very lucky with a window of sunshine for the photos! Congratulations to you all!
Sunshine in the UK!
Huge Congratulations to Abbie and Rich on their wedding day - the sun shone down in the beautiful quaint village of Dunster and you had such a fun, relaxed and beautiful day! Huge Congrats too to Andrew and Emma - what a beautiful day you had in Wales - these are memories to cherish for a lifetime! Enjoy!
Back at Greensleeves!
Huge Congratulations to Delene and Jerain - what a beautiful day!
Salt Rock Hotel & Ashton International College
It has been a real whirlwind week - we have had great fun filming and photographing the Pre-school kids at Ashton International College capturing them under our "Fly on the Wall" guise! Also, had great fun editing Robin & Rakeshnie's wedding - a beautiful day at the Salt Rock Hotel, a very well put together Bollywood movie themed affair by Noreen Swartz of Timeless Weddings. Derek has a corporate photo shoot as well this week and looking forward to Jerain and Delene's wedding this Saturday! It's all go!
Under the Marula
HUGE Congrats Steve and Zoe! What a wonderful wedding day - we loved being with you both, it was such a happy, relaxed day and you really shone for the cameras! We wish you God's richest blessings in your marriage!
Camelot Country Estate, Greensleeves
Congratulations Grant and Sharon! We wish you both a wonderful married life together - enjoy your honeymoon around South Africa and we wish you a safe journey back to the UK!
Family Fun Photo Shoot!
The sun shone and the sea sparkled as we had another fun Saturday morning Photo Shoot on the beach - what a great office we have!
2010 starts with a bang!
2010 has started with lots of exciting projects for us - Sandy and Eugene had a wonderful intimate wedding day in Jo'burg at the beautiful St Andrews Hotel, another fabulously co-ordinated wedding by Cynthia! Her attention to detail is spectacular! Then Prea and Andy flew out from the UK and were married at the ICC in Durban last weekend, a fabulous, colourful Hindu Blessing. Derek has been very busy, having been chosen as the World Cities Photographer for Durban, so has been shooting the town and surrounds!
Zulus and Elephants
The last two months of weddings couldn't be more different! We enjoyed shooting a fabulous Zulu affair in the Durban Cathedral followed by a grand reception at The Elangeni in Durban for Mpumi and Sandi - they were a model couple and loved the paparazzi attention! The next Zulu Wedding was in Darnall for Bongani and Thandeka - they enjoyed a blue sky, sunny day and we had great fun taking their group photos on the Zinkwazi Beach... this weekend we took a trip down to the Knysna Elephant Park and were priviledged to witness Karen and Jonathan get married with the Knysna Elephants playing their part as silent witnesses! The photos, we think, capture the spirit of all weddings, fabulously!
Dramatic Stormy Sky!
Andrew & Taryn flew out from the UK to get married in 'sunny South Africa' only to find it wasn't that sunny a day! No matter, the rain held off and we managed to get some pretty fabulous dramatic pictures at the Durban Royal Golf Course with a beautiful stormy sky in the background - the rain did come down, just as we were finishing up on the course, but the weather didn't dampen their spirits, they enjoyed a fabulous, fun wedding.
Family Fun Photo Shoot!
Little Abby wants to be a model! We enjoyed shooting her Z Card and getting some fun pictures of her and her little brother Ayrton!
Beach Weddings and Cape Weddings
Last week we had two very different weddings - Bianca and Geoff got married in a little hidden paradise venue of Palm Dunes in Blythedale Beach. It was a fabulous party wedding and the bridal couple were so relaxed and enjoyed every minute of their big day - the sky was blue and the sun shone down and blessed their nuptuals on the beach along with very gusty winds, which did make for difficult photography conditions! Andile and Tobisa were not as lucky with the weather and their beautiful venue in the winelands of Cape Town could not be enjoyed to it's full extent because of wall to wall rain! None-the-less the weather did not dampen their spirits and they had a fabulous ceremony and celebration at Bloemendal Wine Estate.
Busy, Busy!
Schools: We have really enjoyed capturing the kids of Umhlanga College over the past two weeks - what a fabulous school, and great fun kids, they just loved playing for us and interacting with the video and stills cameras!
Weddings: Last weekend we filmed and photographed Sir Shalendra and the Fair Maiden Noelene on their fabulous, medieval wedding day at the beautiful venue of Greensleeves in Hillcrest. What a fun event that was - thanks to Shalen and Noelene for including us in their day!
