MHS Volleyball Varsity

Gloria, a MHS alumni, and is back with MHS Varsity for second year! Married for two years she is currently starting a business in financial services with her 6'7" husband! Gloria is the baby of 14 siblings and has more than 25 nieces and nephews. Being that she is from a big family she wants to continue the tradition with at least eight of her own! Her life goal is to be a founder of fully funded sports centers in the under privileged areas of Modesto and to travel the world with her husband and family! GO Lady Panthers!

Kayla Van-Duyn

Kayla grew up in Ripon where she attended Ripon Christian and began playing volleyball in seventh grade. By her freshman year in high school she knew she wanted to go to college on a volleyball scholarship. Her dream came true and she accepted a scholarship to California Baptist University where she was the starting setter her freshman year. Her freshman and sophomore year, CBU won two back to back a national championships. Her senior year CBU finished 2nd at Nationals. Kayla completed her degree from CBU in Kinesiology, Exercise Science. She is currently working on her Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration and coaching the Lady Panther's Varsity Volleyball Team. GO Lady Panthers!

Foundation - @ Modesto vs Ripon. (L) 22-25, 25-15, 21-25, 22-25. Kaitlyn Klein - 8 kills, 2 blocks and 2 aces, Gianna Gallo - 21 assists, Michelle Couchman -2 blocks, Heather Sinclair - 2 aces, Sam Flores - 9 digs.

Oakdale - Third place. MHS Defeated Pitman, Summerville, Escalon, and Bret Hart. 21-25, 25-21, 11-15 loss to Buhach Colony in Semi Finals. Congratulations to Alexa Garrett - Voted: All Tournament Player!
