This Thursday, March 14, is our Rec & Rec Plus Coaches' Meeting at 7 PM and 8 PM, respectively, at the Clayton Library. The coaches will receive their rosters and a draft of the schedule.
Welcome Soccer Parents & Players (3/9/13)
Thank you for registering your child up for the Spring Soccer 2013 Season! The soccer board has been busy planning, organizing and geting everything ready. We are looking forward to an excellent season.
Here's some FYI's:
#2 When you registered, were you given the option of signing up your child for the "Mill Creek Optimist Academic Program?" This program is for children in the Mill Creek School district, Kindergarten through 8th Grade. If they receive a "C" or above for the season, they will receive a certificate and a small prize from the Optimist club. If you want to register your child in this program, the form is available on our website at
http://millcreeksoccerclub.shutterfly.com/forms. You can mail the form to me at the address below, or bring it with you to the first practice and give to your coach. You can even scan it and email it to me.
#3: Please send me a quick email if your family has children that play in the baseball program along with what age group or division (Majors/Minor/8U/6U/T-ball). I am trying to draft a schedule for our Picture Day, which is the same day as the Baseball Jamboree on April 13th. I cannot change our Picture Day, but I may be able to adjust our picture day schedule to accommodate as many families as possible.
#4: The coaches will receive their rosters on Thursday, March 14th. You should hear from your child's coach within a week of that date. When you talk with the coach, don't forget to write down the team color. The schedules for the season will be posted on our website by Sunday, March 17th, and will be listed by the color.
#5: If you signed up to help in the concession stand, you will receive a schedule the week of March 18th with more details.

Important Spring Dates
Due to the change in the Mill Creek School District Academic Calendar, the dates for our Spring Soccer Season have changed slightly this year.
Our season will begin a little later for our Rec players (Ages 4-10), and will also end a little later for our younger players. This year, the last game and Awards Day will be the first weekend in June instead of the weekend before Memorial Day.
m Registration dates: February 16, 21, 26 and March 2* (*Final registration Date)
m RecPlus Practices May Begin as early as March 1st
m Rec Coaches Meeting, March 14th at 7 PM at the Clayton Library.
m Referee Meeting, March 21st at 6 PM, at the East Elementary School Gym
m Rec practices begin the week of April 8th
m RecPlus Games begin – Saturday, April 13th
m Picture Day – Saturday, April 13th
m Rec games begin the week of April 22nd
m U18 (High School) Tournament – – Saturday-Sunday, May 18-19
