Minis and Friends North Texas update

Wayne and I have been busy getting moved to our new home in Anna. We have the horses in a temporary barn in one half of our garage. The arrangement is working well but we sure do need a real barn! And soon! If I park my car in my side of the garage it smells like a barn and somehow, I don't think I should go to work at the hospital smelling like a barn! Pictures to follow.

Exactly one year ago this month, I came up with the idea of using miniature horses as therapy animals. I researched it, dreamed about it, worked towards it and through hard work, lots of planning and wonderful good fortune, Wayne and I are making that dream come true.

We will be in Austin this week working with the original Minis and Friends organization to learn how to put our non-profit organization together. We are excited, nervous and wondering how in the world we'll pull this off. Our dreams coming true will hopefully benefit many people, young and old, and we can say we made a difference. That's what we are about.
