Mismo at Regional Championships
All of Mismo's level 8 gymnasts qualified to Regional Championships in Kalispell as well as the Montana State Team! The girls had a great time and had strong performances at what was the first Regional Championships for many of them. Great job to Rocky Mountain and Smiley's gymnasts as well.

All Levels have a great showing for Mismo's Magical Meet!
The Optional Girls placed 1st with a team score of 109.125. The youngest optional athlete, ten year old Level 7 Charlotte Langer, earned the highest All Around score on the team with a 35.725. Marina Duncan-Cherry placed 1st on Beam with a 9.125, and 1st on Floor with a 9.15 in the Level 7 child age division.
Katie Rehbein was the highest scoring Level 8 of the meet with an All Around score of 35.325. She also placed 1st on Bars with a 9.3. Level 8 Kiyana Price placed 1st on Floor with a 9.1.
Addie Langner and AnnaMarie were under pressure to qualify to State Meet as Level 8's and both girls were successful. All of Mismo's Level 8 gymnasts will be at State Meet and all are candits for qualifying to regionals. Our Level 8 athletes are Kaite Rehbein, Hannah Inabnit, Gillian Bovard, Kiyana Price, Addie Langer, and AnnaMarie Niemeir.
Mismo’s Level 6 girls team swept the meet with their highest team score of 108.4. They were the 1st place team on all events (Vault, Bars, Beam Floor). In the Junior age division Courtney Carl placed 1st in the All Around with a score of 35.2. Elisa Duncan-Cherry placed 1st on Floor with a 9.1 and 3rd All Around with a 34.8, and Morgan Harrington won 1st on Beam with a 9.275. In the Senior age division Hannah Worrest won the All Around with a score of 36.225, and also placed first on Bars with a 9.1, and Beam with a 9.425. Corty Hilla placed 1st on the last two events, Vault with a 9.275 and Floor with a 9.3. Hilla also placed 3rd All Around with a score of 34.95.
The Level 5 Girls Team placed 3rd with at team score of a 106.85. In the Junior age division Aspen Serrania placed 2nd on Beam with a 9.2 and Hannah Kauffman placed 1st on Bars, with the highest Level 5 bar score with a 9.5. In the Senior age division Sarah Lazerte placed 1st All Around with a 35.35 with 1st place finishes on Beam and Floor with a 9.15 and 8.9 respectively, and 2nd place finishes on Vault and Bars with an 8.5 and 8.8 respectively.
The Mismo Level 4 Girls Team placed 2nd with their highest team score of a 109.35. Jenn Mickelson won the All Around in the Junior age division with a score of 36.25 placing 1st on Vault with a 9.6 and 1st on beam with a 9.4. Kiana Malloy had 2nd place finishes on Vault with a 9.4 and Beam with a 9.15 earning 3rd All Around with a 35.75. In the Senior age division Caroline Kelley won 1st place on bars with a 9.3.
Great West Gym Fest Competition
The Mismo Girls Gymnastics Team traveled to the Great West Gym Fest in Coeur d’Alene, Feb 20 – 23, 2009.
The Level 4 Girls Team won a Bear by placing 4th with their highest team score of the season of a 108.25. Caroline Kelley lead the team in the Senior B age division with a 1st place finish on Vault with a 9.4, and 2nd place finishes on Bars and Floor with a 9.15 and a 9.5 respectively, and 2nd place All Around with a 36.65. Jenn Mickelson also placed 1st on Vault with a 9.4 in the Junior B age division.
The Level 5 Girls Team won a bear by placing 2nd with their highest team score of the season of a 107.65. In the Senior B age division Sarah LaZerte placed 1st on Vault with a 9.0, 1st on Bars with a 9.1, 1st on Floor with an 8.55, and 1st All All Around with a 35.2. In the Senior A age division Aspen Serrania led the team with 1st place finishes on Vault (8.625), Beam (9.5) and All Around (35.475). Zoe Munsey took 1st Floor with an 8.675, and Hannah Kauffman took first on Bars with a 9.275.
Mismo’s Level 6 Girls Team earned a team score of 105.675. In the Senior B age division Corty Hilla placed 1st on Vault with a 9.3 and 1st on Floor with a 9.35.
The Level 7 Girls Team won a bear by placing 5th with their highest team score of the season of a 104.3. In the Junior A age division Marina Duncan-Cherry placed 1st on Beam with a 9.1 and 1st on Floor with a 9.175, and earning a 2nd place All Around finish with a score of 35.85.
Mismo’s Level 8 Girls Team won a bear by placing 4th with their highest team score of the season of a 102.45. Kiyana Price had the highlight of the meet for the team placing 1st on Beam with a 9.5. This was the highest beam score of the meet and she qualified into the Big Show Finals where she competed with other Level 8, 9 and 10 athletes from all over the country. In the Big Show Kiyana took 3rd on beam with a score of 9.225. Kiyana is the first Mismo athlete to qualify into the big show for Mismo Gymnastics!
Aswsome highlights at M.A.C Open
8 girls made the trip to Portland, OR for the M.A.C. Open Feb 13 - 15. Hannah Kauffman and Shaylan Mohn represented the Level 5 team. Hannah placed 2nd on bars with a 9.7! And Shaylan placed second on beam with a 9.425! Corty Hilla and Karenne Heinze were our Level 6 competitors. Corty scored a 9.5 on vault and both girls had an awesome meet!
Kadie Rehbein, Hannah Inabnit, Kiyanna Price and Gillian Bovard competed in the Level 8 competition. Kadie had a wonderful meet with personal high scores on beam and floor. Hannah qualified for state.
Mismo Compulsories go to Palouse Invatational
The Mismo Girls Gymnastics Team went to their first out of state meet in the region this weekend. The Palouse Invitational was held in Moscow, Idaho Feb 6 – 8.
The Level 5 Girls Team placed 4th with their highest team score of the season of a 106.375. Aspen Serrania placed 1st on Floor with a 9.0, Hannah Kauffman placed 1st on Bars with a 9.1, and Hannah Kauffman and Emily Joy tied for 1st on Beam with a 9.0. Aspen finished 2nd All Around with a 34.9, and Hannah Kauffman placed 3rd All Around with a 34.8.
Mismo’s Level 6 Girls Team won 1st place at the competition with a team score of 104.525. They were the top scoring team on Bars and Floor. Hannah Worrest and Elisa Duncan-Cherry won 1st place All Around in their age divisions. Worrest with a 34.6 in the 13 year old division, and Duncan-Cherry with a 34.45 in the 12 year old division. Worrest also finished 1st on Vault with a 9.275 and Bars, earning the highest bar score of the meet with a 8.9 out of 51 athletes. Also in the 13 year old division, Corty Hilla placed 1st on Floor, earning the highest floor score of the meet with a 9.275. Elisa Duncan-Cherry also placed first on Floor in her age division with a score of 8.85.
Marina Duncan-Cherry was the only Level 7 optional representing Mismo at her first meet in our region as a Level 7. She placed 8th All Around in her age division with a 34.8 and placed 1st on Beam, earning the highest beam score of the meet with a 9.3 out of 44 other competitors.

Team Mismo had a great early season finish last weekend. Level 4, Maddie Provo qualified to her first State Championships. The level 5 team took a first place finish; Madison Botzet 1st place AA, Quinn Britton and Hannah Kauffman 2nd place AA. The level 6 team also garnered a first place team award; Courtney Carl 1st place AA, Courtney Lotto 2nd place AA. The Optional team had some shining moments as well. Halen McKenzie qualified to State Championships, making her eligible as a varsity athlete. Kiyanna Price took 1st place AA at level 8. Keep up the good work girls!
