Class of 2009
Work Weekend
April 17~20, 2009
The entire weekend was a fabulous reunion with the “Azalea Girls,” some old friends from the class of 2007 & 2008 and meeting new friends from around the state. I have to say, I enjoyed the 2009 Work Weekend even more! Upon reflection, at first I thought it was simply because I had been there before, but upon reflection, I realized that the group of girls going to Miss NC this year are unlike not other! Each and every one with at smile and a friendly hug! Folks I am telling you, I am so excited about MNC this year because of the quality of girls competing! The entire weekend was laughs and giggles for us all and I cannot wait till June to get to spend some “quality” time getting to know these QUALITY girls even better. Although we are competitors, it seemed as though we were all a part of a special sisterhood with the same goal in mind: to be the best we can be at this time in our lives and believe me guys, this is a great group of girls, each with a admirable spirit and mutual respect for themselves and each other, and I am honored to know them and to be among them this year. I am convinced that NC is in for a special treat in June.
I am in group B, as I was in 2007 and I chose 14 as my contestant number. My order of competition will be: Tuesday, Swim Suit; Wednesday, Talent; and Thursday, Evening Gown and onstage question. I am extremely happy to be in Group B with such lovely and talented young women. If it is anything like ’07, group B will be AWSOME!
