The end of the rainbow is near with Rachel qualifying for State Finals to be held in Fresno. Rachel attained a PR of: 19:42, way to go Rachel!

We had a showing of 30+ runners for the CIF Section 7 meet with several medalists against the Central section division 1 schools. Congraluations to everyone for an outstanding year.

We wish Rachel the best at the State Championships!

Team building comes in many ways: at school, during team meetings, during workouts, at the races and even at team dinners. This year's pre MMC carbo load dinner was a perfect example of team FUN! They came, they participated, they consumed, they played and had fun...as a TEAM.

Thanks everyone for participating and bringing great food, it was a successful event.

They met, they raced, they won. Another clean sweep for the Modesto High Cross Country team. The weather was perfect, the setting was serene, the butterfly's were stirring within the runner's, but in the end they were victorious.

For the parents who choose to attend, this is your opportunity to show off your family secret pasta sauce recipe. We are having a contest this year and the runners will be the judges.

Wednesday was a magical day, one might say the stars were aligned or the gravitational pull of the moon was focusing on Modesto High runners, either way they were awesome. It was a clean sweep and there were numerous PR's that day. Coach Heese didn't know what the key was, but he didn't care because he was happy (I think it was the awesome coaching).

For those of you that are interested in a random selection of highlights from last year, they are in the "Pictures" page under "2008 Memories". This album will only be available for a couple of weeks, then it will be removed to allow more photos of the 2009 season. We are limited with the amount of space we are allowed for photos, so as we continue to add new ones for the 2009 season the 2008 will no longer be available.
