My practice philosophy has always been to provide the highest quality pediatric dental care with a Mom’s Touch! That means that patients and their parents are comfortable and happy as we help children in our practice learn to respect their smiles for life. There have been so many exciting changes in our practice life over the past several months I wanted to let everyone know what’s been going on!
First of all, many of you will hopefully notice the next time you visit us that I am
a) no longer pregnant – welcome Grayson Miles Woo!
b) now working in our beautifully enlarged office to accommodate
c) our new ORTHODONTIST – Dr. Courtney Ullrich!
On April 5th my husband Mike and I welcomed our third child, a boy, Grayson Miles Woo into the world. He is a joy and our older children, Olivia and Gavin are very proud of their baby brother! Knowing that I would be taking a short maternity leave, I decided it was a wonderful time to make necessary updates to our office to increase service to families in our care.
A perfect office space was available right on the other side of our practice suite and construction actually began before my last planned workday – two days before Grayson was born. The moment I walked out the door the wall dividing the spaces was torn down and within four weeks an amazing transformation occurred. My office staff worked in the office through the construction supporting patients in need and administrative duties. Before we knew it we were seeing patients again on May 14th and everyone loves the changes!
In addition to our lovely existing Pediatric Dental suite, we now have a full-time orthodontic facility with state-of-the-art open bay orthodontic chairs, a private room for consultations, a separate clinical room for patients starting treatment, and a shared but much larger reception area for all patients of the practice. It’s still us – with the same warm and inviting atmosphere - just bigger and better!
As a natural extension of pediatric dental care, I decided to expand our practice by adding a talented Orthodontist who agrees with my practice philosophy. It did take some time but I am thrilled to announce the arrival of Dr. Courtney Ullrich who starts with NOVA Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics on July 6, 2009!
Dr. Courtney Ullrich graduated Magna cum laude with a degree in biology from Dickinson College and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society. She went on to receive her D.M.D. from The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where she was a Merit Scholar and an Executive Board member of the American Student Dental Association. Dr. Ullrich attended the Brigham and Women’s Hospital - Harvard School of Dental Medicine General Practice Residency in Boston and completed her Orthodontic Residency as Chief Resident at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. During her residency, she developed great skill and strong bonds to children with special needs and their families. She is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists and looks forward to developing relationships in orthodontic and dental associations at the local level.
