Yesterday, DB (dear bibi) and I went to San Francisco for my final interview with the INS. We brought our documents and our wedding pictures. I was so nervous and I don't even know if I should. It feels like my first interview when I was still looking for a job as a fresh grad. Thank God, the consul was very nice and approved us after 30 minutes of just talking about how DB and I met, etc. So yes, I am officially a US immigrant! Woot woot!
So, what we are planning now is going to the Philippines with DB and MIL (mother-in-law). I am so excited! I don't know where to start packing. There are a lot of people that I am thinking about giving pasalubong and I don't know where to start. Geesh. These are the places that we are hoping to go to when we arrive. For the first week, I hope the three of us with my family, of course, can eat at Dampa, Dad's, and just go to Glorietta and Mall of Asia! This is DB's first trip to Manila after 8 years so we better go to the places that we I told DB about when we were just dating. Second week, we are going to Bicol with DB and MIL to visit DB's relatives. It's going to be his Lola's 1st death anniversary and we are planning to go to see Mayon volcano, and the butandings (tagalog word for whale sharks). Woohoo! This reminds me... I think I should go tell Cams that I am going to Bicol, maybe we could go together to see the butandings! Third week, we will go back to Manila and I hope we could go to Puerto Galera, Hidden valley and many more before we leave.
I am just so excited! I am going to see Nikki, KC, CJ and Drew. My super duper cute nieces. Kisses to you dears! I <3 you all.
So after I am done writing this post, the balikbayan box has to be prepared.
But let me tell you about what I bought from my fave store, Target.
I bought 10 boxes of Keebler 100 Calorie bites for $2.69 each.
Total before coupons: $26.90
minus my ten $1 coupons I bought from ebay
Total after coupons: $16.90
and I got two $5 giftcards for buying ten boxes,
Final total: $6.90 + $0.75 (cost of coupons) = $7.65
So this is like paying $0.77 for each box that was regularly sold for $2.69 each.
Did I just save $20?? Yeah! I love coupons! Indeed, coupons are money.
I am still planning to visit a few stores this week: CVS, walgreens and Target again. I am so lucky DB is always so happy to accompany me anywhere. I'm in love! =)
So, I guess I have to finish packing those balikbayan boxes and prepare for my 3 week trip to where I came from, Manila! See you soon, guys!
