Hi Morgan! Your pictures and blog are fascinating! I made some comments on your fotos and your journal entries about 2 weeks ago but they apparently didn't go through. I guess you're supposed to sign in before rather than after. In my enthusiasm to see your entries, I didn't even see the sign-in part. I think it's called technostupidity!? Anyway, we really appreciate the time you're taking to share your adventure with us. The vegetation, food, colors, smiles on faces reminds us so much of Hawaii. It sounds as if you're taking full advantage of the opportunities to give to the villagers while also learning from them. Sometimes the best lessons in life come from the simplest lifestyles.
Hope you get to enjoy the rest of your stay and have a safe trip home,
Love, Aunt Madeleine

Hello Morgan! It was great to skype with you last weekend even though we didn't have the best connection. You seem to be doing very well-given the conditions. And your Mom and brothers did survive my house even without the A/C...like you said just be happy you have a shower :) I did hear that you are at some kind of a spa today and actually got to take a HOT shower-how wonderful. Dan, Hunter and Cohen all say hello too. Hope all is well and we love catching up on your blog! Take care. Love, Aunt Linda

Morgan! It's Mason, Uncle Lee just gave me the link to your blog so I thought I'd say hello from Paris! I'm out here doing physics research until the end of July. From what I've gathered it seems like the Philippines are great (though very humid, very buggy, and not without a strange take on food). I hope English lessons are going well at the school, I've only read through about half of your updates so far but it sounds like you're doing some admirable work over there. I bet the initial adjustment was pretty nuts, there's a lot to take in the first week or two in a new country, huh? I was extremely overwhelmed the first weekend in Paris (it's intimidating going from Maine and never having lived in to staying in one of the most well-known cities in the world!). Do you have Facebook by any chance, or is this Shutterfly business how you crazies do it in North Carolina? Let me know, maybe we can swap insane-o foreign country stories. Shoot me an email sometime at masoncarney@gmail.com. Hope all's well out on the islands!

Morgan, How fun to be teaching them all our fun and crazy dances! The vision of that makes me chuckle! Wish I could be a part of that fun, I love the chicken dance, hee! As for your struggle with the other teachers and the use of proper grammar, I don't blame you. Isn't that why they sent you to teach them proper English? Sorry for the frustration but sounds like you are holding your own....keep up the good work. The food looks interesting. I am impressed you are able to adjust. The picky eaters in my household would never survive! Thanks for sharing your experiences with us...we are continually praying for you!

Morgan-To say that you are having an incredible experience is an understatement! Wow! We love looking at your pictures. What beautiful children. Thomas and Porter are amazed. And I love reading your journal. You are doing such an amazing job. I am sure the frustration level can be so high, but you are making an impact. We love reading your journals. What a treasure. Keep up the great work! We miss you, but continue to keep you in our prayers.
By the way, we went to dinner last night with the kids, and we asked them who their all-time favorite athlete/sports figure is. Thomas answered Derek Jeter. Porter said, "mine starts with M." We guessed Mia Hamm and a whole bunch of others until FINALLY she said, "MORGAN"! So cute. Take care, The Eubanks Family

Omgoodness Morgan! Pictures are amazing : ) How beautifully simple life seems. I am hardcore praying for you and am so proud of you and your selflessness. I am sure you are making these kids so happy and shining Jesus's light! Hope the language barrier gets easier and you better teach me sign language when we get back to school. I've wanted to learn for a while. Jackson Hole is beautiful as well and I am learning a ton about God, myself, and life in general. We have been horseback riding, rock climbing, hiking, up to 10,000 ft mountain and had a snowball fight, and lots of smores : ) I miss you tons girl but keep the pictures coming. And btw...I've decided that we are getting certified at the Duke climbing wall so you me and liz can climb. It's a great workout! xoxo
"Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Psalm 73:25-26 I am sure you understand what it means to be completely relying on God!

Hey Morgan,
Just looked at your update photos and read your post. The kids are soo adorable, you are going to want to bring some home with you. I think the landscapes are beautiful and fun pics you were able to take with laundry hanging, etc.. I love your new pad, hope the temperature is comfortable. Good news is you don't seem to have to keep everything too clean, hee!
Will keep praying for you!
