Welcome to the MPE Recycling Club!
The Recycling Club is an organization open to any student in grades 4 and 5 who wish to participate. 5th Grade teacher Ms. Welch sponsors the Recycling Club. Email Ms. Welch for a membership form. You will need a note each Monday that you wish to attend.
The RC will collect aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and cardboard from 3 recycling stations in the school each week on Monday.
We also make sure the paper recycling bins are in the hall ready to be emptied and free of other recycling items. We then separate and bag cardboard (and paperboard like cereal boxes), aluminum cans, and plastic bottles in order to have it ready for the Roswell Recycling Center pick up.
MPE also recycles paper, magazines, newspapers, and printer cartridges. See a full list of our recyclables here: http://mpes.org/pta/conservation
The Recycling Club:
Collects bottles, cans, and cardboard.
Creates posters and awareness items related to conservation.
Finds new ways to reduce, reuse and recycle items MPE uses.
Thinks about how to find funding to obtain recycling containers and recycling center items.
Collaborates to make MPE a greener organization.
Inspires others to reduce their carbon footprint!
Supports the PTA conservation effort.
The Recycle Club has new recycle centers that help sort our recyclable items.
Look and make sure you are putting the right item in the right box. It only takes a minute and saves the RC a whole lot of time!
Thanks so much for helping MPE stay GREEN!
No, not that green!
