I am an artist living in San Francisco and enjoy making books through Shutterfly. Some are catalogs I created for art shows and others are works based on my photography and painting. Feel free to browse! If you wish to order a book, you can go directly to Shutterfly - they'll print and ship it to you. That's the beauty of on-demand production!
I've created an impromptu catalog documenting a recent game played by NCWCA members. Here's how the game works: a moderator selects pairings among players and notifies the players. Each player creates a piece of art based on the theme, Frida & Me, and mails it to her partner. She will receive a piece of art from another partner assigned to her. Then the player creates a second piece in response to the artwork received and still staying in the theme of Frida & Me. This second piece is also mailed to her partner. Another artwork will arrive from the other partner. A third piece is created in response to the received artwork. This time, the artist brings her third piece and the two pieces received from her partner to a meeting. Artwork is returned to the original creator, each artist discusses the pieces she created, the influences that affected her work, how collaborations, deadlines, responding to visual rather than verbal communication worked for her. Photos of the works are taken for the catalog and the group decides on a new theme for another round of games.
You'll also find a catalog below for "shadowplay," from an earlier game.
