Ceramics 1
This class will explore techniques of clay in hand building and wheel throwing.
Learn about artists work in clay as an art form
Project 1: Picasso Faces in Clay and Masks
Drawing and Painting 1 & 2
First Unit: Sandy Skoglund;artist -- Contemporary Art.
Art History -- Students will study Skoglunds art and installations and how they impacted the art world.
Objective: Students will look at art medium from a new prespective in means of materials to create with. 2) Students will create a work of art using food or makeup as their medium.
Art 1, Class Assignments
Art 1 classes will be studing the Elements of Art (Line, shape, form, value, color and space) the first 9 weeks of the semester. Students will be exposed to a variety of artists, works of art and studio projects of in a variety of mediums.
