The Louvre, originally a palace but now one of the largest and most visited museums in the world, is a must-visit for anyone with a slight interest in art. Some of the museum's most famous works of art are the Mona Lisa and the Venus of Milo.
Social Studies Fair Sources
The next due date is October 22nd and 23rd. On this date the students should bring their sources to school. The students should have a minimum of FIVE sources, TWO of which are primary sources.
Students should bring in any books, printed articles, or printed pictures they are planning to use as evidence for the writing of their paper.
The students are always allowed to print anything in my class as well as the Ruppel Academy library.
I will be very strict about having the sources printed in hand on the day they are due. We have been "gathering sources" in class.
If you have any questions about the sources please let me know.
My goal is to make this process smooth for you and your child. Communication is key, so if you have any questions please email me.
The first quarter is quickly coming to a close. The students have been working hard every day! I can honestly say I am proud of each and every one of them for working so hard in class and at home.
I updated grades tonight in Infinite Campus. You can view your child's grades in Parent Portal. If you need a username or password for Parent Portal please contact the school office at (504) 361-8905.
Social Studies Fair is underway. Your child should be turning in their topic to me for approval this week. I know that Social Studies Fair can be hard on all of us. I am here to help your child and you make this a pain free process. Remember the students are required to write only the paper. A list of Social Studies Fair deadlines was given to them last week on a blue paper.
If you have any questions or concerns please email me at Christine.Berry@jppss.k12.la.us I am always available for you and your child.
