In Room 509, we will make friends that will be there for each other. Everyone will learn new things to succeed in life. We will use the 8 Habits of Happy Children to keep others safe, to have fun, and to learn.

Field Trip

Keep your fingers crossed for a dry Wednesday, May 9th. We will leave the school around 8:20 and return from Beall Woods by 2:00. Please have students to school on time. 15 students need to bring their own lunch from home. Please check the reminder to see if you are one of them. Jeans and tennis shoes are required for walking in the woods. We also recommend bug spry, hats, and something do occupy them on the bus.

LEGO Celebration

Please join us for a LEGO Celebration here at ERES from 4:30-6:00. Come explore new LEGOS to build as a family. Hope to see you all there!

LEGOs to the Library

Today, the second graders presented Mrs. Simpson with the LEGOs that we purchased for the library with the money raised from the LEGO T-shirt sales. We also skyped our LEGO representatives in Denmark. Kyan and Chase asked them our classes' questions: "What are the new LEGOs coming to our stores?" and "How do you get your ideas for the LEGO sets?" It was a cool experience. Check out all the pictures.

Mystery Readers

I am still in need of Mystery Readers. This is a wonderful opportunity to help out in the class. Bring in a picture book to read to our class. I can provide a book for you if you would like. The students love to have their parent, grandparent, or special friend come into the classroom. Contact me with a day that works for you!

IXL Math

Please be sure to check out the IXL math website link. Student passwords and usernames came home with students a weeks ago. If you need them, please contact me. It is a great way to review and practice skills that we are learning and using in class. Money is reviewed in sections P1-P15. It is a great way for extra practice.
