STUDY ISLAND
Study Island is a wonderful tool to help your child review skills and prepare for the FCAT. Last year's FCAT success was partly due to this software. We will be spending some time at school working on Study Island. Please allow your child to access Study Island as frequently as possible for much needed practice at home too. It's free to use from any computer with Internet access. Have your child sign on and complete the assigned activities. Students have login information in their planners. Progress will be monitored on our blue ribbon charts in the classroom. www.studyisland.com
Progress Monitoring
We have finished Theme 1 of our reading series. This week will be a review of skills and strategies from the past few weeks. Therefore, there will be no study guide or spelling words for the week of October 5th.
Scholastic Book Club Orders
Students will be bringing home order forms and directions for online ordering for Scholastic Book Clubs today. Oders are due online by October 23, 2009. This is a great way to get your child excited about reading!
