Dear Parents/Guardians:
Welcome to second grade. Second grade is a big growing year for your child. Through the year your child will gain more independence in the classroom, become more responsible for his/her work, and become a dutiful young student. I enjoy seeing the tremendous growth each child has in second grade!
Also throughout the year, if you have any questions and/or concerns, please contact me. I am hoping that we can work together to make second grade a great experience for your child. Hopefully the website will become a good source for you so you can stay informed throughout the busy year!

Handwriting
EXCITING NEWS!!!! We are learning cursive handwriting. We have learned all lower case cursive letters and we are in the process of learning our upper case cursive letters. Students are now expected to write everything in cursive. If we didn't learn the upper case letter, you print it. I do allow Spelling in print, so students can concentrate on the spelling of words and not the cursive letters.
