Hello!
I consider it a true privilege to be able to work as the school social worker at Maryville Elementary. I have worked as a school social worker for the past 12 years and have been @ CUSD #10 for the past 7 years.
A little about me.... I am have been married for 20 years and have 3 girls ranging in age from 116 to 11. Being a mom, has given me perspective on the blessings and challenges of being a parent. I have had the luxury to be able to stay home with my girls when they were small and also be a mother who works outside the home ---I can say both offer their challenges.
I recieved my BSW from SIUE and then recieved my MSW from Saint Louis University. I feel that school social work is the BEST job ever! I love working with your children!
If you ever have a question, concern or just need someone to chat with, please call, email or stop by and see me. I would love it!!!!
We strive at to educate and nurture the whole child… socially, emotionally and academically. You as parents are the most influential character teachers your child will ever have. At school, we want to take what you have so diligently begun at home and incorporate it into the school setting. We want to build up the leaders of tomorrow to be respectful, responsible, honest, trustworthy and caring individuals.
Each month we focus on one specific character trait. The word of the Month for November is Cooperation. Each month I will try to send some ideas to try at home that will continue to model and reinforce these values.
The word of the Month for December is Courteous
