Our class is wonderful! We have filled our bucket of seashells yet again. They 'cashed' the seashells in for 15 minutes of morning recess today. They enjoyed being outside. I am proud of how well they work together. We have a great group! 

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! When we return on Tuesday, November 29 we will have a quick paced 3 weeks before going out on an extended break again. I encourage your child to continue learning and I know they will put forth their best effort. Thank you for all your support in your child's education! They are a wonderful group of children to work with :) 

We've been doing a great job working together in our classroom. Your child has worked with his/ her teammates to fill our compliment bucket 4 times already. They can receive a compliment when walking in line, completing work at the correct voice level, another teacher's compliment (resource, etc), cafeteria stars, hallway stars, etc. To fill our jar they must get 50 seashells. Once they reach 50 they may cash it in for a reward. So far they have picked extra recess time (twice), 15 minutes using markers and water painting. They have been working well together and I am proud of them! 

We've had a great first 3 days! We're learning so much in reader's workshop, writer's workshop, skills, math, and social studies. A class newsletter will be coming home soon for you to know what we are doing during the week in class. I will also upload it for you to download at home.
