We've practiced for months, we've had costume fittings. Our mics are set and the lights are ready to go. Seussical Jr. is here!
You will be amazed at the fantastic job your children are doing. I am so very proud of each and every student that is involved in this production.

Seussical Jr. is Coming!
Our very talented students will perform our first musical production this year on May 10 and 11 when they perform "Seussical Jr"! The performances will take place at 7:00 pm at Braddock Hills High School.
Auditions are complete and the cast list goes up tomorrow! I'll keep you posted!
December Performances
We have a few performances coming up in December:
Our Annual Winter Concert takes place on Friday, December 9th 7:00 pm where Kindergarten ,1st, 2nd, 3rd and choir will perform. At the School Council Meeting/Mini Concert on Monday, December 12th 7:00 pm 4th and 5th will perform and the 4th grade, 5th grade and choir will also perform on the Saturday Light Brigade Live Radio Show December 17th 10:00am! Lots of seasonal performances coming your way!
We're In The Homestretch!
Warm weather is finally here and that usually signals that the end of the school year is near. But we are keeping very busy in the music classroom, planning for end-of-the-year performances. A few dates to remember:
June 2nd - Music and Art Showcase - 6:00 - 9:00pm
June 3rd - Barnes and Noble Night - 6:00 - 8:00pm
June 7th - Kindergarten Promotion - 1:30 pm (tentative)
June 8th - Eighth Grade Promotion - 6:00 pm
June 9th - Celebrations of Learning - 9:30am and 1:30pm
Double Dream Hands

4th Grade to Perform at School Council Meeting on December 15th
Mark your calender for the next School Council Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, December 15th at 6:00 pm. The Fourth Grade will be performing a few winter-themed songs before the "Holidays Around The World" Activities at 7:00 pm.
It will sure to be a evening of family fun!
4th Annual Winter Concert on December 17th at 7:00 pm
I'm looking forward to this years Winter Concert, which will feature performances by Kindergarten, First, Second and Third Grades. The Tara Davis Singers will sing a couple of songs, play the bells and lead the audience in a seasonal sing-along. The evening will end with a cookie reception.

The beginning of the school year is just days away! As you are going shopping for new school clothes and school supplies, I have been busy searching for music for our Winter Concert, Spring Show and Kindergarten Graduation! Yes, the planning for our performances begins in July and continues throughout the school year.

2nd Annual Propel East Arts Festival
Come and join us on Friday, May 14th from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. You'll see fabulous artwork throughout the school and you'll hear great music provided by 2nd grade, 3rd grade, the Tara Davis Singers AND the guitar and piano students.

Many students have expressed an interest in practicing recorder at home.
