It's hard to believe it is November already! We've wrapped up our project on trees. Now we are studying animals and their uniqueness. Just as many of the animals will be hibernating or moving south for the winter, we too are making some changes. First of all our schedule will need to accomadate Christmas program practices. Secondly, the students have begun Reading Counts. This is a program through Scholastic Books that offers quizzes for each book the student reads. These books are worth points. In our fourth grade class we are awarding a "Scholastic Buck" for every 5 points earned. These "bucks" may be used for ordering books through Scholastic each month. It is a great way to encourage the 4th graders to read! Finally, it is time to change out of our summer and fall clothes into winter garb. Remember to dress warm and in layers. Don't forget the gloves, mittens, and boots when the weather is snowy!
