Housekeeping
Just a few things to remember: PLEASE be sure to log in the books that your child reads and/or the books you read to your child--the kids get very excited about earning a free pizza!; Please make sure you are signing the agenda every day--even Fridays!; Postcard booklets are due back on MONDAY (1/30); I understand if you check your child out early for a doctor's appointment or a true emergency, but please note that they are missing instructional time, which cannot usually be made up at home. Thanks for your help in making your child a SUCCESS :) Have a great weekend!
BOOK IT
October is almost over! Don't forget, in order to get a Book-It coupon for a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut, your child must read 15 books a month. Of course you can always read more, but that's the minimum to get the pizza. There is a reading log that starts on page 5 of their agenda. Make sure you write the date!
Fall Festival
First I'd like to thank Jaime Hughes for volunteering to be our room mom! She is looking for help to run our ring toss booth at the festival on November 4th from 5-9 p.m. She is just asking for 30 minute shifts so that you're still able to enjoy most of the time having fun with your children. Picture Day is this Friday, October 14! You must pre-pay for these pictures. Dress your best and bring your best smile :)
Library
Library books are due back this Wednesday, October 12. Your child will not be able to check out another book until their old book is returned.
Room Parent
If you're interested in becoming the room parent for our class, please let me know! I will send home a list of things that would be expected of you if you let me know you're interested. Right now PTA is planning our Fall Festival and will be holding a meeting this Monday morning. Thanks! Mrs. Lowe :)
Grades
Please visit the WEBSITES section of this website. Click on the link that says Parent Grade Portal to access your child's grades and attendance. You will need to create a login and password before accessing the site. **Please note that I will be adding grades at the interim and report card marking periods only.**
Open House!
I hope you received the invitation to Open House that your child brought home to you today. Please join me in the classroom from 6-7 pm on Thursday, September 8. Come see what your child is learning in school. Hope to see you all there!
1st Day of Kindergarten!
I enjoyed meeting you today at orientation. I look forward to seeing everyone on Monday morning! School begins promptly at 8:30AM. The PTA will be having a "Boo-Hoo Breakfast" for parents of Kindergarten students.

- Please send in your child's school supplies if you have not done so already!
- Make sure that your child wears their transportation tag every day to/from school for the first few weeks to help make sure that they get home the correct way! If you will be picking up your child a different way, please write a note in their agenda.
- Check your child's agenda EVERY night. Their behavior grade will be written in their agenda.
